Talking to Grief: A Reflective Meditation Workshop

Many of us are surrounded by grief, but we don’t often have the space or resources to process or understand our relationship to it. In this workshop, we will have a conversation with grief through breathwork, meditation/nidra, journaling, and reflection. Through these practices, we hope to bring our community together to connect and hold space for the grief that lives in our bodies. All are invited to join—whether or not you’ve experienced a loss—as grief can show up in many forms, big or small. Chai and light snacks will be provided. Please bring a notebook and something to write with.

Hosted in Sound Collective’s New York City studios, you’ll join producer Matt Parker as he breaks down heavy bass design, punchy drum processing, and dynamic arrangement techniques specific to modern bass house. Whether you’ve never produced electronic music or want to elevate your genre-specific sound design, this workshop gives you a real first look into building a club-ready track from scratch. No experience or prerequisites required.
