Thu, Aug 6, 10:00 PM
From Books and Restaurants
5.0

We will meet August 6th at 6pm, at a Townhome restaurant in the Upper East Side, JoJo, and discuss "The Land" by Maggie O'Farrell who examines how history leaves its imprint not only on the land itself but also on the generations who inherit it; "Patriot" by Alexei Navalny, which provides an insider's view of modern Russian politics while also telling the personal story of a husband, father, and activist; and the book "The Book Club for Troublesome Women" by Marie Bostwick, a story about a friendship among women in the 1960s and the quiet beginnings of the women's movement in America. As always, you will need to have read at least one of the 3 books on the title, but you’re welcome to read all of them. Happy reading!
