Music Production Workshop
Sat, May 30, 3:30 PM[Please RSVP](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) to ensure you will be able to participate in this free workshop. [Production Basics](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) is a free, hands-on 2-hour workshop that gives you a real introduction to making music from scratch. Hosted in our NYC studios, the session focuses on one core skill: building your first groove and loop. A professional producer walks you through how a beat actually comes together, from picking sounds to laying down patterns to shaping an idea into something that sounds like a track. This is built to give you an honest read on whether music production is a craft you want to pursue further. Small-group format with guided instruction and open practice time. No DAW experience or prerequisites required. However, [RSVP is required.](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/)

Basically, it’s one big party with dodgeball, music and friends. We’ll pick teams from people who show up each week. There will be no refs, but experienced New York Dodgeball players will oversee games. Co-ed, ages 21 and up. Please note we **always** have enough players for this event.
