Wernigerode is full of old charming buildings 🏰🏘️ (you can find the photos online, on Google Maps, for example), and a Castle above the town. We take the HBX train that departs from Gesundbrunnen at 07,02 AM, direction Goslar 🚉😀 and arrives to Wernigerode at 10,17 AM. The train is takeable with the Deutschland Ticket. The train stops in other stations too, get on where is more convenient for you (use the DB app to check). Psychedelic Forest Hike

Hey Psychedelic Fans! This time we're going for a different, more active format. Few things belong together like psychedelics and nature — so this month we're wandering into the Grunewald. We meet at **11:00 at S Grunewald** and head into the woods together — we set off at 11:15 sharp. Picnic break in the shade around lunchtime, then down to the Havel, where the meetup ends around 16:00. The goal is to reconnect with the earth under our feet, the air that we breathe and all the beings we share it with. Bring drinks, snacks, something to sit on (the forest floor is very sandy) and whatever else you need.

Harz Day Trip: Devil's Wall and Witches Mountain

*Journey to the Harz Mountain region, hike along some of the most impressive rock formations, and walk through the magical woodlands, which, according to mythology, are the home of witches and the devil.* Hike Distance: 15km Difficulty: Intermediate Starting in the historical town and UNESCO World Heritage site Quedlinburg, the 15km hikes along the riverfront, alongside the impressive Teufelsmauer (Devil's Wall) - a bizarre, jagged, 20-kilometer-long rock formation - and to the centre of the region, Thale. At Thale, we will scale the local mountain with a cable car and descend on foot through the haunted forests. The Harz region can be reached daily using the Harz Express, a direct train that takes us to and from the region. From here, we will take a steady-paced hike through the region, engaging in nature and looking at the region's beauty. Hiking from Quedlinburg to Thale along the Teufelsmauer (Devil's Wall) is one of the most rewarding point-to-point hikes in the Harz foothills, as it perfectly pairs Quedlinburg's fairy-tale streets with Thale's rugged gorge scenery, using the most spectacular, dramatic stretch of the ancient sandstone ridge as its highway. The final stretch of the hike takes us down the Hexenstieg, a route famed for its witch monuments, history, and legacy, made famous by the Brothers Grimm. On this varied circular hike, we’ll explore a chain of elongated lakes in the Behrensdorfer Heide. The quiet and, at times, very secluded trail follows the wooded shores of Lake Springsee and Lake Großer Glubigsee, for much of the route, offering beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Along the way, we’ll also pass through an interesting wet woodland area, a valuable ecosystem that plays an important role in climate protection and nature conservation. And if the weather is on our side, the many lakeside bathing spots invite us to enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax by the water. As there are no guaranteed places to stop for food or drinks along the route, please bring enough food and water for the day. I secured these places well in advance so that you can enjoy this incredible route at the best possible time! **WHAT IS THE PLAN?** * **Day 0 - Meet & Greet:** Relaxed day – we all meet at the hotel in the evening, having late evening dinner, preparing ourselves for next day’s adventures. * **Day 1 (Distance – 20 km)** – Today post breakfast, we would start our journey to hut. The hike itself would go through the Reintal valley. During the hike we would pass the impressive Partnachklamm gorge, the secluded Reintal valley, the Reintalangerhütte and at the evening would approach Knorrhütte. It is possible to have a nice lunch there, at their restaurant, So, you do not need to carry on food with you. During the day we would gain around 1400 meters. * **Day 2 (Hike distance <10 km)** – After the early breakfast at the hut, we would start our hike to summit. Although it is quite short, we would gain another 870 meters to reach the summit at around mid-day. After relaxing at the top and enjoying the pristine beauty of the majestic and mighty mountains, we will use the cable car to go down to the city.
