Depending on the group and availability, we may choose a restaurant overlooking the sea or a traditional restaurant tucked inside the historic old town. Possible local specialties include: * Pasta alla Norma * Fresh Sicilian seafood * Traditional Sicilian dishes * Sicilian wine * Local Mediterranean flavours Food is an important part of the Sicilian experience — and this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy it together. **Evening: Beach Time at Isola Bella 🌊☀️** As the day continues, we head towards **Isola Bella**. Take the cable car down towards the coast and enjoy a beautiful Mediterranean evening. There will be time for: * Swimming 🏊 * Sunbathing ☀️ * Relaxing beside the Mediterranean * Enjoying the pebble-and-sand beach * Taking photographs of the spectacular coastline 📸 A perfect combination of culture, food and Mediterranean beach life. **Day 3 — Syracuse & Ortygia → Ancient History & Coastal Beauty** We leave Catania and travel south along the beautiful Sicilian coastline towards **Syracuse**. Syracuse is one of Sicily’s most historically important cities and was once one of the most powerful cities in the ancient Mediterranean world. Our main focus is the beautiful island of **Ortygia**. Here, we explore a fascinating combination of: * Ancient Greek heritage * Historic ruins * Baroque architecture * Beautiful piazzas * Historic sea walls * Narrow streets filled with history * Waterfront views * Mediterranean atmosphere Ortygia is a place where ancient civilizations and everyday Sicilian life blend together. As we walk through the historic streets, we discover layers of Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Arab, Norman and Baroque history. The atmosphere is completely different from Catania and Taormina — offering a beautiful final chapter to our Sicilian adventure. There will also be time to: ☕ Enjoy a coffee in a historic piazza 🍝 Taste local Sicilian food 📸 Capture beautiful photographs 🌊 Relax beside the Mediterranean **🏁 End of the Sicily Adventure** After exploring Syracuse and Ortygia, the organised Sicily trip concludes. Participants continue their onward journey directly from Syracuse according to their individual travel plans. ✨ No return to the accommodation is planned after the Day 3 exploration.
