What surprises most people is the dramatic landscape. The Sierra Nevada, mainland Spain’s highest mountain range, is just 45 minutes from Granada. This means we can hike at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the morning and be back in the city for tapas by evening. An hour south, the mountains plunge straight into the sea.
