🥾 Hike & Reflect Hiking together, spending time outdoors, having good conversations and simply seeing what develops along the way. We usually meet on Saturday mornings and explore beautiful hiking routes around Berlin that are easy to reach by regional train or public transport. Most hikes take around 4–5 hours and cover approximately 15–20 km. 🌿 What happens along the way From time to time, I will bring in reflection questions, conversation prompts or simple exercises. Sometimes we might practise really listening to each other, explore a personal question, look at something from a different perspective or simply experience nature more consciously. We might also try a short partner exercise or walk a small section with our eyes closed. Everything is optional. You are just as welcome to come along, enjoy the landscape, meet new people and be part of the group without joining every exercise or conversation. 💬 The coaching element I am a certified systemic coach with around 12 years of corporate experience. I bring some of my coaching background into the questions, exercises and overall structure of the hikes. At the same time, this is not about me coaching everyone. The idea is to create a space where people can learn from each other, share experiences, listen properly and discover new perspectives through conversation. I provide a few impulses and a loose framework. The group creates the rest. 🤝 What Hike & Reflect is about Movement, nature, meeting people and having conversations that we often do not make enough time for in everyday life. Sometimes the conversations may become thoughtful, sometimes they will be light and funny, and sometimes we may simply walk next to each other for a while. We will see what happens. 👟 Who is it for? Anyone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people and likes the idea of combining hiking with a little more reflection and conversation. The hikes are designed for different fitness levels, although 15–20 km does require a basic level of fitness and being comfortable walking for several hours.

**Rescheduled**!!! 🚲 **Lento to Potsdam — Bikes & Cheesecake** Fall is here, and the forests are beautiful! A little escape from Berlin! We'll meet at Brandenburger Tor around 9 AM and ride to Potsdam, taking the scenic route and stopping for lunch and a snack along the way. Once in Potsdam, there's a very good cheesecake spot waiting for us. Priorities, obviously. 🍰 For the way back, you've got two options: take the train back to Berlin or ride the full route back by bike. I'll probably cycle back, so feel free to join if you're up for the extra kilometres. As always with Lento, the route isn't set in stone. Late October is the ideal time to visit Andalusia. Daytime temperatures sit comfortably between 22°C and 28°C, the Mediterranean is still warm enough for swimming, and the dense summer crowds have finally gone home. The amazing weather is just the start. What surprises most people is the dramatic landscape. The **Sierra Nevada**, mainland Spain’s highest mountain range, is just 45 minutes from Granada. This means we can hike at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the morning and be back in the city for tapas by evening. An hour south, the mountains plunge straight into the sea. The coastline east of **Málaga** is a protected stretch of cliffs and coves where we’ll kayak into sea caves beneath the Maro cliffs and swim under a waterfall that drops directly into the Mediterranean. Very few places in Europe let you experience both environments in the same week. When it comes to food, **Granada** is one of the last cities in Spain where every drink arrives with a complimentary plate of food, naturally turning dinner into a relaxed crawl from bar to bar. One evening, we’ll head to the Albaicín for flamenco to experience it in an authentic, intimate tablao. Woven through all of this is a history completely unlike the rest of Europe. Eight centuries of Moorish rule left behind masterpieces like the Alhambra in Granada and the Real Alcázar in **Seville**. These palaces are defined by open courtyards, running water channels, intricately carved plaster, and gardens designed specifically for shade and quiet. Join us in the heart of Andalusia for an unforgettable autumn escape, complete with great company, authentic paella, and exceptional wine. **⭐WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?** **The Alhambra Grounds & the Albaicín:** We walk up through the old Moorish quarter on cobbles that have not changed much in five hundred years, into the free Alhambra grounds, and on to Mirador de San Miguel Alto for sunset. The palace on one side, the Sierra Nevada behind it, and the whole of Granada below. **Sierra Nevada High-Altitude Hike:** Mainland Spain's highest mountain range, and a scenic loop above the tree line at over 2,500 metres. Roughly three hours at an easy pace with plenty of stops. **Sea Kayaking the Maro Cliffs:** Three hours on the water along a protected stretch of the Costa del Sol, paddling into sea caves and stopping at a beach you cannot reach on foot. The highlight is the waterfall that drops straight off the cliff into the sea, and yes, you can swim under it. **The Real Alcázar & Seville Cathedral:** A working royal palace built by Moorish craftsmen for Christian kings, with gardens that take an hour on their own. Next door, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the Giralda tower. **Granada's Free Tapas**: Granada is one of the last cities in Spain where a drink still comes with a plate of food, no charge. We do a guided night tapas crawl, trying out all of the specialties Andalusia has to offer. **Traditional Flamenco:** A first-row seat to a traditional flamenco show in a cave-style room in the Albaicín. After dark, a guided tapas crawl. **Day 3 - Sierra Nevada High-Altitude Hike** We drive up a mountain road into mainland Spain's highest range. The hike is a scenic loop above 2000m altitude, around three hours at an easy pace with plenty of photo stops. In the evening, we attend a flamenco performance at Zoraya Flamenco in the Albaicín, one of Granada's best-known venues, for a traditional Andalusian night of live music, singing and dance. **Day 4 - Nerja, Sea Kayak & Trip to Seville** Three hours on the Mediterranean sea, paddling into sea caves and along the Maro cliffs to a breathtaking waterfall. Lunch in Nerja, then a short walk on the clifftop coastal path before the drive west to Seville. **Day 5 - Seville, the Alcázar & the Cathedral** We visit the Real Alcázar, then the cathedral and the Giralda tower. Bouldering Session

Have you always wanted to learn bouldering but never had the right company? Or are you an experienced boulderer who just wants to find boulder-buddies? If yes, this is the right event for you. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time. After that, **you can find us on the couches near the lockers (not in front of the reception), next to a red smiley**. When you enter the actual gym, enter the hall by turning left immediately - you are walking towards them. We will start warming up around 11:10, so everyone has enough time to arrive and get changed before that. ***\*\*\**** *Spots are limited, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you won't be joining. **NO-SHOWs ARE NOT COOL \*\*\**** We enter the gym at 11:00, if you are late, you will need to look for us inside. IMPORTANT: they only accept cards as a payment method. No cash. Bohemian Day Trip from Berlin to Saxony Switzerland - SOLD OUT

*Take a day trip to Bohemian Switzerland, have lunch at the Pravcicka Gate, hike across the border into Germany, and finish the day hike at one of the country's best breweries.* Hike Distance: 13km Difficulty: Intermediate This breathtaking day hike from Berlin takes you from the misty river canyon of Hrensko in Czechia straight to the crown jewel of the Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland national parks. Moving through towering sandstone columns, pristine pine forests, and across international borders, this route combines dramatic geological wonders with a fresh, cross-border perspective. First, we visit the awe-inspiring Pravčická Brána, Europe’s largest natural sandstone arch. Here we will enjoy traditional Czech cuisine, looking over the valley below. From the Gate, the route takes advantage of the newly opened hiking path into Saxon Switzerland (Germany), through the sandstone formations and into the village of Schmilka, where we will enjoy traditional beers at a Saxon brewery, before crossing the Elbe and catching the train home. The tour will be led by travel author and guide Dan Cole, author of the leading hiking guide Beer Hiking Berlin. Dan has also worked previously for Lonely Planet, Easyjet Magazine, and Lufthansa, and has several published travel guides about Berlin and beyond.
