**Outdoor – Forest and lake along the Havel** with ***Harms*** and ***Thomas*** **Free with registration** **Meeting point: 10:45 Uh**r, Ostbahnhof, platform 2, middle of platform **Start: 10:56 a.m.**, RE7 direction Senftenberg **(please be on time – the train only runs hourly)** **Return:** Wendisch Rietz, Bahnhof (RB36) **[Free with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/village-outdoor/w35-2026/)** In August, we’ll head out of the city once more and into the heathland and lake district of eastern Brandenburg near Wendisch Rietz. On this varied circular hike, we’ll explore a chain of elongated lakes in the Behrensdorfer Heide. The quiet and, at times, very secluded trail follows the wooded shores of Lake Springsee and Lake Großer Glubigsee, for much of the route, offering beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Along the way, we’ll also pass through an interesting wet woodland area, a valuable ecosystem that plays an important role in climate protection and nature conservation. And if the weather is on our side, the many lakeside bathing spots invite us to enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax by the water. As there are no guaranteed places to stop for food or drinks along the route, please bring enough food and water for the day. Since we’ll be walking through woodland and wetland areas, it’s also a good idea to bring an effective insect repellent. **What’s Village Outdoor?** Village outdoor Events are monthly meetups for the we are village community and their friends to enjoy outdoor activities in and around Berlin. Activities include forest hikes, bike tours, swimming in lakes, sightseeing, and kayaking. Each month features a free and easy walk or hike in Berlin or its surrounding areas, accessible by public transport. **General Information** **Be sun smart:** Please dont forget sun screen, a hat and maybe even a long-sleeved shirt. On a hot day, also remember to bring plenty of water. **Language:** Depending on the needs of the group, we will speak German and/or English. **Cost:** The event is free of charge.
