**NOTE: BYO lunch required** We depart from Mitcham Railway Station at 10am along the Box Hill-Ringwood Rail Trail, turn left up the Eastlink Trail and then Mullum-Mullum Creek Trail towards Croydon. Crossing over Maroondah Highway (at traffic lights) and into Croydon to pick up the Carrum-Warburton Trail to Mooroolbark. Following Cambridge Road and Montrose Road (bike lane) and then on-road for 500 m on Mt Dandenong Tourist Road to arrive at Hahndorf for hot chocolate and other delights (20 km mark). Hahndorf does not have a grand selection for lunch, hence we are only stopping here for a (hot) chocolate and toilet. Following the backstreets of Montrose we pick up Sheffield Road (bike path followed by gravel road) to arrive at the Liverpool Road Retarding Basin for our lunch stop - no shelter, no toilets but plenty of ambience (26 km mark). After lunch, we pick up the Dandenong Creek Trail all the way to Eastlink, follow Eastlink Trail towards Ringwood and then peel off back to Mitcham.
