Sat, May 30, 8:00 AM
From Jhana Meditation for Beginners

The course will start this Saturday at 10am. It will be in studio R at CCB studios. [https://maps.app.goo.gl/rFovxE7eG7HV6uB46](https://maps.app.goo.gl/rFovxE7eG7HV6uB46). Buzz for CCB studios and then walk through to the second courtyard. We will try to start right around 10. There will be tea available. Please dress in comfortable clothes, maybe wearing a few layers. Theres some blankets, yoga mats, cushions and chairs in the room that you can use. The plan will be for us to do some small discussions at the top and then start discussing theory before doing some meditations of increasing length and then closing with some time for Q & A. We will take a short break in the middle as well. The plan is to go from 10-12 roughly but we may end a little closer to 11:30 depending. This week will function primarily as a simple introduction to meditation and some topics in the space but we will also discuss what the Jhanas are. Looking forward! Any questions please just message me.

We will meet at Röntgental Station at 11.46 on the platform (I will be arriving on the S2 leaving Gesundbrunnen platform 4 at 11.26). We will hike approximately 7km to the Gorinsee which is supposed to be one of the warmest lakes in the area and break there for a swim-picnic. Please bring food, water and swim gear if you like to swim. The pace will be relaxed and we aim to finish up at a beergarden (either in Buch or Pankow, but close to an S2 station). The route is mostly hiking path but please wear good walking shoes, and bring sun cream and mosquito spray if needed. We will hike about 15km. The route can be found on Komoot as "From Panketal to Wandlitz" https://www.komoot.com/tour/2972663820 Moderate 03:20 walking time approximately 13.2km (although we will be closer to 15km as we will take a slightly different return route. 3.9km/h 30m elevation gain

Hike in a forest: Zum Teufelsbruch

Hike in a forest: Zum Teufelsbruch

Sun, May 31, 8:00 AM
From Queer Hiking Berlin

Hi everyone! Hiking season is already in full swing, and with the end of May likely to be quite warm, I thought it would be a good idea to head into the forest. This time, we’ll be hiking in Teufelsbruch, near Hennigsdorf in Brandenburg, north of Berlin. We’ll meet on Sunday, May 31st, at 10:00 am at Friedrichstraße station, on the lower platform for the S1, S2, and S25 lines. From there, we’ll take the S25 towards Hennigsdorf, change to a bus, and continue to Nieder Neuendorf. The journey should take around 45 minutes, and that’s where our hike will begin. Our route will follow the banks of the Havel River until we reach Bürgerablage, a public beach area (though we won’t be swimming). From there, we’ll head into the forest and continue towards Teufelsbruch, a beautiful moorland area. We can visit a tower of the former Berlin Wall. We’ll then make our way towards Rohpfuhl, another moor, walk roughly around it, and finally return to Nieder Neuendorf. From there, we’ll take the bus back to Hennigsdorf and then the train back to Berlin. The hike is a bit longer than usual — around 16 km — and will take approximately 4 hours. Please make sure you have an ABC ticket for public transport, and remember to bring enough water, snacks, and food. We’ll make a short break along the way to eat and rest. I’ll be wearing a pink cap, so look out for a tall man in a pink cap standing near the escalators. This is a straight-friendly event, so everyone is welcome. Check out our IG: @queerhikesberlin

Join me for Calisthenics Classes! (Beginners)

Wed, Jun 3, 5:00 PM
From Berlin Walks, Hikes, Trips, Yoga and more
4.8

Join me for my **Beginner Calisthenics Class** every Wednesday at 7pm at a park (check the location below) and learn how to build strength, flexibility, and confidence using just your bodyweight. My name is Maroof, and I’ve been practicing calisthenics for the last 4 years. I love this sport because I’m fascinated by the incredible movements the human body can achieve, and I believe calisthenics connects people, builds communities, and is one of the most sociable forms of fitness out there. In this class, we’ll cover the fundamentals like push-ups, squats, and core exercises, and also dive into the basics of more advanced movements such as the planche, front lever, back lever, and freestyle calisthenics, all in a fun, supportive environment where you can progress at your own pace. \*\*No experience needed, just bring comfortable clothes, some water, and a positive attitude. \*\* **Price:** Free. This will be a recurring event every Wednesday unless stated otherwise. **Disclaimer:** * Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your own safety. * Only confirm if you are attending the event, and update your RSVP accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!
