Killarney Hills, Killarney

We are doing the Iconic Killarney Hills. I hope you can make it. We will meet on Cook Street in Forestville. This is a long hike covering mountain bike tracks, and incorporating lots of steps and undulations. We get a great break on the water at the halfway mark; this hike is all within the Garigal National Park. Poles are recommended. The first part of this hike is just under 10KM, but there is always an extension if you are tempted. You may not find the street number easily, it's about 950M from the Forest Way turnoff. Please look for fellow hikers' cars. We've been out on this trail several times now and it has everything, a management trail to warm up, some hills to raise the heart rate, a decent length to test your endurance, bike trails paths to entertain you and views to die for, and it all takes place in the Garigal National Park. In total around 10 KM hike. Allow around 3hours for the Hike and stretching. ✨ Vivid Sydney Lights Walk: The Rocks, Barangaroo & Dinner (~7km)

Join us for **our annual Vivid walk**—a captivating evening exploring the awe-inspiring Vivid Sydney light and sound installations! This walk covers nearly 7 kilometres and follows over half of the official Vivid Light Walk route at a leisurely pace, with short breaks at the most popular installations. 🚨 **Critical Vivid Info:** While I will share our live location in the group chat, please make a strong effort to stay with the group. Vivid gets incredibly crowded and it is very easy to get separated! Please arrive by 5:50 PM. * **Finish:** Around 8:30 PM near Barangaroo / Wynyard Station. Middle Cove Mangroves, Middle Cove

Today's HIKEFit program explores parts of Castle Cove… Although it feels like a flat walk, there are some good ups and downs. You can complete 8 km or the full 11 km and get around 400m in elevation. We will start at the steps heading into Scotts Creek. After passing the creek, we find a management for about 500 metres. Then we are back into the bush heading to FigTree Cove via the North Arm walking track. MEETING: Central Station 10am. Platform 25, though this may change Or Tempe Station at 10:15 🌸✈️🌸 TIME: 10am Central 10:15 Tempe 🌸⏰🌸 DETAILS: Feel like you’re the only one not heading to Europe for the Winter? Problem solved…. The glorious white sands of Sans Souci and Dolls Point will fix that! We walk from Tempe Station via Kendrick Park and the Cooks River, Cahill Park, Riverine Park, Cahill Park, the Chinese Vegetable and Produce Gardens via Muddy Creek then hit the Coast at Brighton Le Sands…. Our first glimpse of the white sand, and a few aircraft taking off. The coastal walk from there to Dolls Point is easy, flat and paved. This walk has the added bonus of the St George Sailing Club if you’re thirsty and want to take in more of the view at the finish. Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me. If people are on the waitlist, it is also very inconsiderate. Sydney Social Climbers is a group of social climbing enthusiasts who also enjoy a beer and a chat. The challenge is to climb short but tricky routes using balance, technique, and strength. It's a high-intensity exercise that strengthens many of the major muscles of the body, and in particular your core, back, shoulders, arms, hands, and grip. It can also help improve your sport climbing technique. Bouldering routes are set for beginners and up to advanced climbers at the gym. Welcome to Sydney's most popular Rock Climbing Meetup! All skill levels are welcome. Whether it's your first time, you have not climbed in ages or a seasoned professional, a good time is guaranteed. **Cost**: No meetup charge - Hosts are volunteers not affiliated with the gym. Gym entry is $23 (Please tell staff you're with the meetup group). A one off joining fee of $6 is required if it's your first visit.
