Something for everyone to explore their inner Plantagenet. A 9 miles circular ramble passing prince and palace in the Chilterns. And for those wanting a pacier afternoon, extension along the Grand Union Canal to bring you within range of a Tube journey home. Taplow to Windsor along the Thames with local boat trip

A perennial favourite of the group is this stunning 8 to 9 mile Thames Path walk. Let's go with the flow! Please arrive by 10am to facilitate the purchase of group return train tickets for the 10.47am Elizabeth line train to Taplow that arrives at 11.24am. We leave for the platform at 10.35am. Train ticket : return to Taplow Or you may decide to drive. Meetup fee £8 payable in cash or £6 by Saturday in advance by bank transfer, details available upon request. No PayPal. The walk shall commence by 11.40am. You should bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc waterproof jacket and walking shoes / trainers. Also sunhat, sunglasses and suncream. **Autumn has arrived, and on Sunday 4th October... we’re making the most of the season’s changing colours with our latest Social Walk and Pub Trip 🍁** Yep and for this latest Sunday walk, we’ll be heading back to one of the most popular hiking spots in the capital, **Hampstead Heath** in North London 🌳 As always before heading off on the hike, you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun and light-hearted games, designed to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better. After the games and everyone is warmed up for walk, we’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour hike across the heath 🍂 Along the way, we will wander past the stately home, Kenwood House and the famous Parliament Hill viewing point overlooking London. RIVER THAMES, GREENERY, WOODLAND TRAILS Join us as we walk along Inner london's most attractive stretch of the Thamespath. **WALK START: Richmond Railway and Tube Station (National Rail and District Underground Line and London Overground Line).** WALK FINISH: Kingston Railway Station. Constable Country

Come join us for this wonderfully enchanting 8.5 mile walk by the delightful River Stour, Flatford Mill and Dedham Vale and the setting of The Hay Wain as well as a few other fantastic paintings of Constable ! Let's go with the flow ! We shall meet outside of platform 10 close to the main ticket office. We can then buy group return train tickets for the train at 10.25am that arrives at Manningtree at 11.26am. Train ticket : Manningtree return We shall commence the walk at around 11.35am. Or you may decide to drive. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots/trainers. We shall have lunch in and around the cafe at Flatford Mill. Rustic Rocks & Rails (14 miles)

Often one is asked: "*What is your favourite place?*" One place leaving a most indelible mark is the sandstone outcrops of the Weald. So many happy fulfilling days and memories. These began in the Lower Cretaceous as sands accumulating in the shallow inland Wealden sea. The sands hardened over epochs into rocks. which may now be found hiding in the fields and forests all round the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. Passing among the woods with their outcrops is the Spa Valley Railway, whose steam trains add colour & sound, and a sense of nostalgia to the landscape. And this weekend the railway holds its annual Ale and Cider Festival, with food stalls, and free live music at its stations, as well as the heritage trains chugging to and fro along the line all day. A Spa Valley walk of autumn colours, unique rock formations, and stations visited along the line to sample the festivities. Steeped in history and folklore, these ancient woods were said to be haunted by Lady Hoby and inspired Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows. Rich in flora and wildlife, they provide a beautiful opening to our walk. Climbing to **Winter Hill**, we enjoy sweeping views across the Thames Valley before descending to the river. The path then leads us through meadows and marshland, past the ancient burial mounds of **Cock Marsh**, before arriving in the historic heart of Cookham village, famously described by Stanley Spencer as “a village in heaven.” Here we pause for lunch, with time to explore the charming streets, Spencer’s gallery, and Holy Trinity Church where the artist is commemorated, as well as a visit to a traditional pub. After lunch, we rejoin the **Thames Path**, widely regarded as one of the most photogenic stretches of the river. The route meanders alongside the water, skirting the edge of the grand **Cliveden Estate**, once a ducal residence and later the setting of the notorious 1960s Profumo Affair. Our hike continues along the river past **Boulters Lock**, a lively boating hub once popular with Victorian high society, before reaching **Maidenhead**.
