Equipments will be disinfected after each use #### DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM Participants are not required to be able to swim, but should be confident in the water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid #### WHAT HAPPENS IN ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS Very rarely do we need to reschedule sessions due to adverse weather conditions. In the event of a lightning storm, all sessions on the water will cease and students will return to shore for at least 20 minutes after the last visible lightning strike #### WHAT AGES ARE THE ACTIVITIES SUITABLE FOR For insurance reasons our minimum age is five years old but we have no maximum. Our upper-deckers programme regularly sees 80+ year olds out kayaking. An opportunity of a lifetime and a challenge to Kayak from Battersea all the way to Greenwich, passing the key landmarks of London on the River Thames. This will be a unique event for the meetup so long as we get at least 6 people interested and deposits paid . I have been told that whatever your level of kayaking is - even beginner, but someone who likes a challenge and is confident they can do ### **Kayak Bus is a one-way trip from West London to Greenwich.** This is a 100% sight-seeing trip, passing many of London's most iconic landmarks: Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Bankside and the Globe, St Pauls, South Bank, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Lambeth Palace, MI6 and many others, all from the seat of a kayak. See London as it is meant to be from the river. The journey time is a good three hours with the tidal flow making the **trip suitable for all abilities** including complete beginners.
