Join us at Canalside Activity Centre in Ladbroke Grove for a unique on-the-water experience, paddling through some of London’s most scenic canals. Whether you choose a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard, this is your chance to get active while meeting people in a relaxed, social setting. You’ll start in a private basin the perfect space to learn the basics and build confidence before heading out onto the Grand Union Canal, paddling towards Little Venice or Old Oak. ### **What’s included:**– 2-hour guided session (kayak, canoe, or paddleboard)– Expert instructors to support you throughout– Access to showers, changing facilities, and on-site amenities With a small group, the session is designed to make it easy to connect. Sat, Jun 6, 7:01 AMCheddar Gorge is England’s largest gorge, stretching for three miles, with cliffs rising nearly 400 feet (122 meters) high. It was formed roughly 1.2 million years ago during the last Ice Age, carved out by melting glaciers and ancient river. In 1903, the oldest, almost complete human skeleton in Britain, the 10,000 year old "Cheddar Man" was discovered in Gough’s Cave. We are heading to the birthplace of Cheddar cheese! Sun, Jun 7, 7:00 AMFirst come first served. 3 days of Camping and hiking in the mountains. BBQ fire 🔥 in the evening after the hiking is done. Hot showers and access to proper toilets at a good quality campsite at an isolated farm in the mountains of the wilderness. There is no WiFi and no phone signal in the mountains and no phone charging ports for your phone in the mountains. Not even in the campsite. So Make sure you bring at least two big powerful power banks with you for your phone. As you will be taking thousands of photos there during the hiking camping adventure. The tent stays at the campsite. You Don't need to carry your tent with you into the mountains. The campsite is totally safe. The organiser will provide you with tents and sleeping bags and air beds. On this event. No need to bring your own. You must have good hiking shoes. We will do helvellyn Time permitting. Other hiking routes will be available. Will decide once we get there based on group size and the groups fitness levels and weather forecast. If the weather is not friendly with us then we may do slightly safer options to keep the group safe from slips and falls. If the weather is dry then we will do the challenging hikes such as Helvellyn or something on similar lines. If you have your own car or transport then you get a huge discount from the total cost. One group is going on Friday and another leaving London on Thursday. Some by car and some by train. You need to contact the organiser and host early so we can arrange your travel options and coordinate your options. Everyone is returning to London Sunday night regardless of which group you decide to join. Both traveling groups are for the exact same event and the same hiking location. Breakfast is served on fire lunches are packed lunches prepared the night before and dinner is BBQ on fire during the evening and nights. We will have BBQ fire 🔥 every night and cooked food by the campsite. Meals are mostly vegetarian cooked near the campsite on fire. No alcohol allowed on the event. Need to avoid people getting drunk to keep event as clean and healthy as possible. You need to be fit and healthy and have good stamina for the hiking we do. Check your fitness levels with the host before you participate if unsure about your fitness levels. You need to take Friday and Saturday and Sunday off from work to join this weekend adventure. The Friday group leaves on Friday morning. The Thursday group makes its way to the Lake District on Thursday morning. If you aren't able to take Thursday off then o suggest you join the group traveling on Friday morning towards the destination. ....WHAT IS INVOLVED........ Friday - 7 hours of hiking involved. Saturday - 8 hours of hiking involved. With Regular breaks for photos. Sunday - 3 hours of hiking. Then return home. These numbers are approximate and depend on your speeds and fitness levels. Difficulty: Not easy. Make sure you are fit enough to walk 8 hours per day without pain in your legs. Yes do bring a good 📷 with you for amazing photo opportunities. A good level of fitness is required for these hikes. You need to sort out your hiking shoes. And clothing for the weather. Weather proofs. Check with the host before you attend. Having a good suitable hiking shoe is very important for this type of event. Waterproof clothes for rain or cold weather. A full list of things you need to bring will be given once your place is confirmed. Rain proofs. Will be very cold at night. So you need to be prepared for freezing temperatures at night and warm temperatures during daytime.
