Hike to Fontainebleau by the Seine River

16 km. Moderate Hike to Fontainebleau by the river, from Bois-le-Roi. Fontainebleau is where Napoleon bid farewell to the Old Gard, before his first abdication in 1814. It will be a relaxing hike along the wildest part of the river, houseboats, islands, parcs and extravagant houses, then we will have a drink near the Fontainebleau Palace. 12 km, moderate. Meudon's 1000 hectares of hilly forest is full of chestnut treasures. It also hides monuments like : Rodin Museum, an observatory, a airship building. It offers the the best view over Paris. The one who finds the best chesnuts wins! We meet between 10:10 and 10:30.
