Mushroom hunt in the forest of Fontainebleau
Sat, Oct 24, 10:11 AMIt's almost time to change the clocks - last chance to get out of Paris on a ☀️ day to the nature before the chill sets in! (Note - we are taking a different route to our tour from esrly October) A forest bigger than all of Paris, an ancient sea still strewn with boulders and the most popular forest of the Paris region - the Forest of Fonatinebleau is enormous - taking in several villages and of course the town and famous Chateau itself. Join us as we hike over boulders and to some of my secret known mushroom hunting spots - and teach you the basics of safely looking for edible mushrooms. Hear stories of the famous impressionist artists who made the area their home, climb the famous tower with incredible views over the forest and search for mushrooms and chestnuts. When: Saturday 24th October Start: AT FONTAINEBLEU-AVON Station. Take the 12:16 R train from Hall 1 at Gare de Lyon. Bring: Food/drink and walking shoes. ideally a basket or paper bags for anything you collect. Hike to Fontainebleau by the Seine River
Sun, Oct 25, 9:15 AM16 km. Moderate Hike to Fontainebleau by the river, from Bois-le-Roi. Fontainebleau is where Napoleon bid farewell to the Old Gard, before his first abdication in 1814. It will be a relaxing hike along the wildest part of the river, houseboats, islands, parcs and extravagant houses, then we will have a drink near the Fontainebleau Palace. We meet from **10:15 to 10:30 at the Gare de Lyon.** Hall 1, level 0, in front of the Big Fernand restaurant. it close to track L.**We take the 10:46 train to Bois-le-Bois, line R (free with your Navigo Pass zone 5)** Have your lunch and water with you. You will recognise mee with my blue scarf. You will receive a one page leaflet about the places we will see. A small fee of 8 € in cash will be asked before we start. We should have finished at 16:00 after a drink near Fontainebleau Palace My number : 06 68 22 30 70. Rodolphe 16 km. Ce sera une randonnée relaxante le long de la partie la plus sauvage de la rivière, avec ses péniches, îles, parcs et maisons extravagantes, puis nous prendrons un verre près du Palais de Fontainebleau. TTS comes with its own set of challenges: tokenizing audio frames without information loss, combining a decoder with flow-matching transformers, and handling real-time streaming. This talk walks through these challenges and the engineering choices involved in building and serving Voxtral TTS, proving that making GPUs actually talk is hard but a lot of fun! *** The talks will be followed by open discussion and networking.
