The FIFA World Cup is coming to Toronto, and the city is celebrating in a uniquely Canadian way... with **52 giant beaver sculptures** hidden throughout the downtown core! Join us for **The Great Beaver Quest**, a fun and social walking adventure as we try to find as many of these public art installations as possible. We'll explore parts of downtown Toronto, take photos, compare discoveries, and see how many beavers we can track down together. Whether you're a huge soccer fan, a casual fan, or someone who couldn't tell a corner kick from a corner store, this is a fun way to be part of the World Cup excitement while exploring the city and meeting new people. This is not a race and there are no prizes (other than bragging rights 🦫), but we'll do our best to find as many beavers as possible during our adventure. Crother Woods hike and Evergreen Brickworks visit (Free or Paid event)

Join us for a relaxed hike through the beautiful Crothers Woods trail system, followed by a visit to Evergreen Brick Works. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature, get some exercise, and meet new people in a friendly, welcoming group. This is a great way to boost your health, clear your mind, and meet other positive members in the community. Walking regularly can improve heart health, increase energy, reduce stress, and support overall wellness. Our walk is done at a **good steady pace** with a bit of a hill, making it a great workout while still being enjoyable. The route usually lasts **about 1.5 hours**, giving you time to move, chat, and start your day feeling accomplished. Tubing the Grand River

Just lay back, enjoy and let the current take you along this scenic journey.** Life along the Grand River moves at a pace that invites you to disconnect from city stress and be present. This 5 km float from Five Oaks to Brant Park runs entirely through a natural corridor: no shops, no crowds and no paddling required if the current's running well. The water is shallow with a gentle current and a gravel bottom, so it's a solid first river experience even if you've never done anything like it before. Tubes take most people around 2 hours, with plenty of spots along the way to hop off for a swim. We wrap up the day with a group picnic lunch at Brant Park once you're off the water. Bring shoes you don't mind getting wet, sunscreen, and snacks. This will be a sun filled day to remember! **Highlights** **Tubing the Grand:** Kick back and let the current do the work. The Grand River's easy flow and shallow gravel bottom make for a laid-back float that anyone can enjoy **Picnic lunch at Brant Park:** The float ends at Brant Park Conservation Area, where we pull out our packed lunches and decompress h in the shade. **River Swimming:** Plenty of spots to pull over and jump in along the way. The Killarney Klassic: An Unforgettable Camping Adventure

And it’s been on your list long enough. Join us this weekend to experience what it has to offer.** Killarney is one of those parks where you arrive and understand immediately why people come back every year. This weekend, we're setting up at George Lake Campground for three days of hiking, swimming, and good company. On the drive up Friday, we stop at Herbert Fisheries in Killarney town that offers fresh Georgian Bay whitefish, hand-cut fries, and a seat on the dock. It's been a fixture here since 1981 and a good way to arrive. Then we head to camp to set up and settle in for the evening. Saturday morning, we hike to Lumsden Lake along a section of the La Cloche Silhouette Trail, winding through mixed forest and over wooden boardwalks before arriving at a clear lake framed by white quartzite ridges. After the hike, the afternoon belongs to the beach. George Lake's shore is right at camp. Sunday is the shorter Cranberry Bog loop, leaving directly from the campground. The trail passes through wetlands and opens to views of the La Cloche hills before looping back. After that, we pack up and drive home. This is a front country trip, which means car camping with your full kit and no portaging. It's the perfect entry point if you haven't camped with WU before, and an unforgettable long weekend either way.
