# 🎃 The Ghosts of the University of Toronto 👻 ### A 90-Minute Halloween Ghost Walk Through Toronto's Haunted History L ooking for something a little different this Halloween season? Join us for a **guided ghost walk through the University of Toronto campus and its eerie surroundings**, exploring some of the stories, legends, and strange histories hidden in one of Toronto's oldest neighbourhoods. This isn't one of our regular walks where we're simply following a trail and enjoying the scenery. **This is a curated storytelling experience.** I've researched the locations, developed the route, and put together the stories specifically for this experience. We'll explore some of the darker corners of the university and surrounding neighbourhoods while uncovering the people, places, and legends that have given them their haunted reputations. 🕯️ Along the way, we'll hear stories about: * What the Christies — yes, *Mr. Christie Cookies* — were hiding in their mansion 🍪 * The restless little girl who is never happy 👧 * What might really be lurking inside Queen's Park 👀 * Haunted stories connected to University of Toronto buildings * The Royal Conservatory of Music * The Royal Ontario Museum * And some other stories that are better experienced after dark... 👻 You don't have to believe in ghosts. You just have to enjoy a good story. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Do We'll spend approximately **90 minutes walking through the University of Toronto campus and surrounding streets**, stopping at locations connected to Toronto's haunted history. Along the way we'll: * Hear stories about some of Toronto's most intriguing characters and locations * Explore the darker history of the University of Toronto * Visit locations associated with ghost stories and local legends * Learn the history behind some of the buildings around us * Walk through Queen's Park and the surrounding area * Finish at the **Royal Ontario Museum** We'll remain **outside the buildings** throughout the experience. The walking pace will be moderate, with plenty of stops along the way for stories. *** ## 🕯️ This Is More Than a Walk Our regular walks are about getting outside, exploring Toronto, and meeting people. This one is different. **This is a guided storytelling experience.** The route and stories have been researched and developed specifically for this event, so you're not just following me from one location to another — you're getting a story about the city as we go. And because it's Halloween season, we'll be doing it after dark. 🎃 *** ## 🍂 What to Expect This is an outdoor walking experience, so please dress appropriately for the weather. We'll be walking for approximately **90 minutes**, with regular stops for storytelling. There is **no entry into any buildings**, so you won't need to worry about museum admission or other entrance fees. And while some of the stories are genuinely creepy, this isn't designed to be a horror attraction. It's **Toronto history, local legends, and storytelling with a spooky twist.** *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meeting Location:** In front of the building by the stairs 🫎 **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** ⏰ **Start Time:** 7:00 PM sharp I will only wait **5 minutes.** **Early is on time. On time is late.** 🚶‍♂️ **Walking Pace:** Moderate 🏁 **End Point:** Royal Ontario Museum *** ## 🎟️ Meetup Fee **$10 cash or e-transfer** 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated, guided storytelling experience**, rather than one of our regular group walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and developed specifically for this experience. Food and drinks afterward are optional and are **not included** in the Meetup fee. *** ## 🍻 After the Ghost Walk We'll finish at the **Royal Ontario Museum**. For anyone who wants to keep the evening going, we'll walk about 10 minutes over to the **Duke of York** for food, drinks, and conversation. You don't have to come — but everyone is welcome. Because sometimes the best part of a ghost story is having someone to talk about it with afterward. 👻 *** ## 🌈 Who Is This For? This is great for: * Anyone who loves ghost stories 👻 * History buffs * People curious about Toronto's darker side * Fans of Halloween * Anyone who enjoys storytelling * People looking for something different to do in the city * Anyone who wants to meet new people while exploring Toronto You don't need to believe in ghosts. **Just bring your curiosity.** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. 👤 **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: 📧 **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the ghosts. 👻** **Stay for the stories.** **Leave with a new connection — and maybe a new friend.** 🖤

# 👻 Ghost Tour: Queen West & Yonge Street 🌙 ### Restless Spirits, Strange Stories & Toronto After Dark The thing about ghosts is… **they don’t always stay where they died.** Sometimes they linger in places they loved. Sometimes they remain where unfinished business keeps them tethered. And sometimes, apparently, they just really like a particular chair. On this walking tour, we'll explore some of the stranger stories connected to **Queen West and Yonge Street** — from hospitals and theatres to music halls, historic buildings, and some rather unexpected places. Some of these people met their fate on these streets. **Most didn't.** Ghosts are funny that way. This is a **curated storytelling experience**, combining Toronto history, local legends, and some of the city's more unusual ghost stories. And don't worry — we're not going inside the buildings. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Explore We'll begin outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** and make our way east toward Yonge Street. Along the way, we'll hear stories about: * 🔫 **Don't play with guns… again** * 🙏 **“This is my hospital,” said the Nun** * 🎶 **The spirit who stayed for the music** * 🪑 **Who sat in that chair?** * 👻 Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and Toronto legends We'll finish at **Yonge-Dundas Square**. The walk will take approximately **90 minutes**, depending on the pace of the group. We'll remain outdoors throughout the experience and will **not be entering any buildings**. *** ## 🌙 A Little About the Experience This isn't simply a walk where someone points out a few supposedly haunted buildings. I've researched the stories, developed the route, and brought the different pieces together into a single experience. Some stories are rooted in Toronto history. Some have been passed down as local legends. And some leave you wondering whether there might actually be something to them. **You can decide what you believe.** 👻 *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meetup Location:** Outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** 🫎 **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **6:30 PM sharp** I will only wait **5 minutes**. **Early is on time. On time is late.** 🚶‍♂️ **Pace:** Steady walking pace 🏁 **End Point:** **Yonge-Dundas Square** *** ## 🎟️ Meetup Fee **$10 cash in person or e-transfer** 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated ghost-walking experience**, rather than one of our regular social walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and brought together specifically for this experience. The fee helps support the time and work that goes into creating these walks. *** ## 🎒 What to Bring 👟 Comfortable walking shoes 🧥 Weather-appropriate clothing 💧 Water 📱 Your phone for photos — if you're brave enough. 👻 *** ## 🌈 Who Is This For? This experience is great for: * 👻 People who love ghost stories * 🏙️ Anyone interested in Toronto's strange history * 🎭 Theatre and music lovers * 🕯️ People who enjoy local legends and unexplained stories * 🚶 People looking for something different to do in the evening * 😂 Anyone who likes being a little scared without taking it too seriously You don't have to believe in ghosts. You just have to enjoy a good story. *** **REMEMBER:** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. 👤 **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: 📧 **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the ghosts.** **Stay for the stories.** **Leave wondering what you just heard.** 👻🌙
