We can then spontaneously decide to stay together even longer after Teufelsberg, going to some bar (there is a Bistro in Grunewald 🍲) or restaurant. Everyone is, in any case, free to stay for a longer or shorter time. We bring the grill, the speaker and the mikrophones and we bring a bunch of food and beers but if you would also bring some food or drinks or a tip it would be much appreciated and amazing but not necessary. After-work bike ride: Ostkreuz → Adlershof and back. Shake off the workday with a relaxed evening ride to Adlershof. We'll cycle from Ostkreuz to Berlin's largest science and technology park — home to the historic Trudelturm, a 1930s aviation research tower, and other landmarks from Berlin's aviation history. We'll explore the area, stop for a drink or snack, and then head back. Any bike type works. No special experience needed - just show up and enjoy the ride. • Start & End: S-Bahn Ostkreuz • Distance: \~25 km (round trip) • Terrain: Flat, bike paths • Pace: The one you're comfortable with - we're here to relax after work, not to race • Recommended to bring: water and lights • Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety. Early bird ride: Hohen Neuendorf → Spandau along the Berlin Wall Trail. Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Hohen Neuendorf heading west to Spandau, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. The route is flat, mostly paved, and takes us through forests, along the former border strip, and past memorials and remnants of that era. This is Part 2 of our Berlin Wall Trail series — continuing from where Part 1 ended! (But you'll have fun even if you missed Part 1.) Any bike type works. No special experience needed - you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace. From Spandau, you can easily take the S-Bahn or U-Bahn back to the city center. • Start: S-Bahn Hohen Neuendorf • End: S-Bahn Spandau • Distance: \~40 km • Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths • Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy a beautiful start to the day. Cycle round the beautiful open cast mine of Welzow

Let's explore the beautiful landscape of one of the brown coal Spreewald Tagesbau. Yes the open cast mines of the Lausitz are still in operation (and on a weekday you can see them in operation). See the link for a newly opened cycle route around this one in Wezlow. We will go to Cottbus and head out along the beautiful spree rad weg. Reaching the top of the vast mine area we will then circulate it, climbing viewing platforms, visiting the information centre, learning about the extraordinary history of coal mining in East Germany as well as their plans for a more sustainable future.
