⚠️ FOR YOUR SAFETY & ENJOYMENT, PLEASE READ BELOW DESCRIPTION FULLY BEFORE YOU CLICK ‘Attend’! ******************************************** 🗓 DATE: Sunday, 16 August 2026. ⏰ MEETING TIME: 10.10am. ⛴️ START POINT: Watsons Bay Wharf - at the entry/exit after tap on/off. 🚌 END POINT: Bondi Beach bus stop, Campbell Parade. ******************************************** 🥾 DISTANCE: 12km - point to point. 🥾 GRADE: Easy/Moderate on a relaxing pace, not snail pace! 📸 WHAT TO EXPECT: 🚶‍♂️This beautiful coastal walk meanders through beautiful parklands and open spaces and includes an exciting timber walkway with viewing platforms that brings you on top of the cliffs. 🚶The Bondi to Watsons Bay walk (or Watsons Bay to Bondi walk) is essentially the same as the Federation Cliff Walk, but it goes a little further, to Bondi Beach. 🚶‍♂️We will start the exciting adventure from Watsons Bay Wharf to Hornby Lighthouse via Camp Cove Beach for our first photo stop and selfies. 🚶‍♂️We will continue the walk to The Gap, located on the eastern side of Watsons Bay and is one of Sydney’s most famous ocean cliff lookouts with views that are absolutely breathtaking. 👀 From The Gap, we follow the cliff-side path towards the south through Gap Park, leading up to Old South Head Road. The track stays on the road’s footpath for a short while until turning into the Coastal Cliff Walk. 🥪 We will have BYO lunch break at Macquarie Lighthouse overlooking the ocean. 🏙️ We will continue to Diamond Bay Reserve through Dover Heights Reserve. Take a moment to enjoy the spectacular city and harbour views. 🤳 After another photo session and selfless, we’ll head down to our final destination. 🏖 We will end the walk at Bondi Beach. 🚌 Bus from Campbell Parade bus stop to Bondi Junction station or CBD. 🍹Optional - you may have a drinks or a bite to eat at one of the cafes or pubs before heading home. ☕️🐠🍔 ******************************************** ⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️ 📝 TERMS & DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk. **Join us for a stunning coastal walk along the Kurnell to Cronulla section, through the scenic Botany Bay National Park**. This route offers beautiful ocean views, historical sites, and a cool breeze along much of the path. Afterwards, we’ll relax with a late lunch at German Beerhall in Cronulla. **Good fitness is recommended**, and also some beach walking is involved. **Before you RSVP, be sure to read the following:** * **Difficulty:** Medium to Hard, mostly harbourside with bushlands, rocky surfaces, and some elevation gains. * **Start** at Prince Charles Pde bus stop opp Kurnell Post Office after 9 am. Take 987 from Cronulla Station at 08:45 AM to reach there if using public transport, **finish** at Cronulla Station late afternoon. * **Route:** We’ll start at our meeting point and head to Prince Charles Parade, walking the Monument Track past Captain Cook’s Landing Place. Next, we’ll take the Muru Trail to Cape Solander Lookout, followed by Cape Baily Coastal Track to the lighthouse, Boat Harbour Aquatic Reserve, and a long walk on Cronulla Beach before the finish near the station for an easy train ride home! * **Gratuity:** A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs.
