This circular route takes us past quiet ponds, woodland paths, and open commons that feel especially atmospheric as the daylight fades. Expect a mix of forest tracks, gentle inclines, and plenty of calm, scenic moments along the way. The ancient Greeks called it **olbìa - ‘happiness’**. It is the gateway to the island and the driving force behind the economy of the Gallura area. Many flights arrive there, and it is a good town to stay in and explore before or after the trip. We will have 3 full days, and we will explore the following 3 places. **The National Park of Arcipelago di La Maddalena was** established in 1994. The park is a protected marine and terrestrial area off the northeastern coast of Sardinia, Italy. It comprises a group of granite islands and islets known for their **crystal-clear waters, unspoiled beaches, and rich marine biodiversity**. The park preserves important Mediterranean ecosystems and is valued both for its natural beauty and its role in marine conservation. **Capo Testa** is a striking rocky promontory in northern Sardinia, near Santa Teresa Gallura, renowned for its **dramatic granite formations** sculpted by wind and sea. Surrounded by **clear turquoise waters**, it features small coves, beaches, and **panoramic views toward Corsica**. The area is valued for its natural scenery, coastal hiking paths, and unique geological landscape. We shall swim during our lunch. **Bonifacio** is a historic town at the southern tip of Corsica, France, **dramatically perched on white limestone cliffs** overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio. Known for its **medieval citadel**, narrow streets, and natural harbour, it offers a distinctive blend of cultural heritage and **striking coastal scenery**. The surrounding area is also notable for sea caves, cliffs, and protected marine environments. There are a few ferries a day, going across the strait; it takes about an hour. The exact itinerary will feature the highlights listed above and will be shared with attendees closer to the day. Every day is planned with care and adjusted according to the most recent weather forecast. **LOCATION** We will be based in **Santa Teresa Gallura**. It is a coastal town in northern Sardinia, located near the Strait of Bonifacio. This beautiful coastal hike takes us from the historic city of Chichester out to the wide open shoreline of West Wittering, combining peaceful canal paths, estuary views, and a stunning stretch of sandy beach. Starting from Chichester, we follow the scenic Chichester Ship Canal before reaching the estuary at Birdham. The route then traces the coastline along the Chichester Harbour, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for its wildlife, sailing waters, and expansive views. Heading south, we reach the striking sand dunes of East Head, with far reaching views across to Hayling Island and the Isle of Wight. 'Sole to Soul' Walk & Talk

Join us for a chilled out, circular, stroll around Wanstead Park. The Park is a peaceful space with old trees, open grassland, woodland paths and a beautiful chain of lakes. It has history, with traces of the grand Wanstead House estate that once stood there. We'll take this time to slow down, engage and enjoy nature. We ask that you bring a specific topic you'd like to explore, or a question that's slightly unusual to the every day thinking we get caught in. Examples could be something like: * If you were to be born again, which career would you try out? * What's the best decision you made in the last year? * What is the smallest thing you could change in your life that would have the biggest positive impact right now? No need to bring the cleverest question. Come curious, open, prepared to share and ready to hear new perspectives and maybe even meet life long friends. We'll meet at the park entrance at 10.30am (see photo and map). We'll wait until 10.45am (only) iff we know someone is delayed. We'll share our questions all together and then head off as a (loose) group, in pairs or threes, returning to the same park gates around 12.30pm. Access to the park entrance on Wanstead Park Road is easy by public transport, Central Line or Elizabeth Line. By joining the walk you (of course) take full responsibility for your wellbeing. Monument to Millbank FREE Thames Path Walk

Starting from The Monument a most wonderful 4 mile walk starting at 6.45pm by walking on the north side of the Thames before crossing Millennium Bridge, walking by Tate Modern then along the lovely scenic South Bank passing The Wheel in Westminster until we cross The Thames at Lambeth Bridge to finish by Tate Britain. East Head - (16 or 8 miles)

West Wittering is most famous for its sandy beach, and as popular a seaside venue as any within reach of the capital, with everything a visitor can hope for 😎🏖️ 82 years ago, this place was absolutely teeming - however the circumstances then were very different. On the anniversary of the momentous events that began from these shores in 1944, this walk heads to Wittering's memorial. East Head is only a stone's throw from the popular beach; yet must be walked to, which means the unspoiled dunes will be ours. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/sussex/east-head If Wittering's beach proves too delightful for some, there is a bus that one can catch back to Chichester when the day is done. A couple of options for the return walk. Depending on numbers and logistics, the optimum would be via Bosham's historic harbour. It was from here in 1064 that Harold Godwinson sailed to Normandy, invoking a chain of events destined to culminate two years later. From Harold to Eisenhower, history resonates through these sands. TRAVEL 1\. Take the 9\.05 train from London Victoria to CHICHESTER\. CHEAPEST TRAIN TICKETS - £13.00 PER PERSON RETURN: By far the cheapest train fare is to purchase a Group DaySave which allows unlimited travel on Southern trains and for a group of four (£52) is £13 each. It is also possible to buy this ticket for two (cheaper) or three people. NB the ticket must be purchased at least three days before travel from Southern's website.
