We are taking on the beautiful Arundel river circular in partnership with Craghoppers. They will be providing us with goodies for the day to give out. This route has beautiful scenery as well as animals and really helps us connect with nature. This area of the UK has an incredible castle and is a magical hike. Come alone or with a group of friends, everyone is welcome. The **Seven Sisters** are a spectacular series of gleaming white chalk cliffs shaped over thousands of years by natural erosion processes. Erosion has since created an “eighth sister,” and today the cliffs stand as one of England’s most iconic landscapes. We begin in the coastal town of **Seaford**, home to a Napoleonic-era **Martello Tower** built in 1810 as part of a chain of 103 coastal defences against French invasion. From here, the trail climbs onto the cliff tops, where for much of the day we walk high above the sea, treated to endless coastal views and fresh sea air. Our route follows the **South Downs Way**, passing through **Birling Gap** and past the striking **Belle Tout Lighthouse**, famously moved 17 metres inland in 1999 to save it from falling into the sea. The final highlight is **Beachy Head**, a dramatic beauty spot with sheer chalk cliffs dropping into the sea below. Canary Wharf to Walthamstow: Wetlands, Docks, Mills & Hidden London

**DESCRIPTION** Join us for a varied East London hike taking us from the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf through a surprisingly green and historic side of London, finishing in Walthamstow. We’ll follow waterways, docks and old industrial landscapes through Eden Dock and Limehouse, passing the historic House Mill and Three Mills before heading into the Olympic park and Lea Valley and across Hackney Marshes. From there we’ll continue towards the beautiful Walthamstow Wetlands before finishing at Big Penny Social in Walthamstow, where we can stop for a well-earned drink and/or food. Expect a mixture of canals, riverside paths, marshland, wetlands, industrial heritage and some of London’s less obvious green spaces, with plenty to see along the way. Whiteleaf Hill, Pulpit Hill, Beacon Hill, Coombe Hill & Chequers – Country Hike

Walk length 13miles/20km approx. Circular. A hike with a great variety of scenery, including fine views and the summit of a number of hills including Whiteleaf Hill, Pulpit Hill Nature Reserve, Beacon Hill, Coombe Hill and a walk around the footpath close to the Prime Minister's Chequers country home. Chequers house is the country house of the Prime Minister. It was given as a house for the Prime Minister in 1917 and dates from the 16th century. The walk passes through a number of woods and scenic Chiltern countryside and uses a number of important footpaths including parts of the Ridgeway, an ancient track described as one of Britain's oldest roads and the more recent Alyesbury Ring. Princes Risborough is a small country town that lies between the Vale of Aylesbury and the Western Escarpment of the Chiltern Hills, on the route of the pre-Roman Upper Icknield Way and is dominated by a chalk hill carving, the Whiteleaf Cross. The walk should finish about 4.30pm and include a Snack/lunch stop however the time may be earlier or later than this depending on the weather and pace. THIS IS A SUBSTANTIAL HIKE IN LENGTH AND WITH A NUMBER OF HILL CLIMBS, PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS. Cost £7 cash payable on the day guided walk & meetup costs. London Society FREE HIKE - Petts Wood to Hayes

Have you ever wanted to partake in hikes where you get exposed to new areas with luscious forms of nature, some amazing views and possibly some hidden gems? If so, this may be the right event for you. Welcome back to the Hiking events where all of this is possible. This is the opportunity to form friendships, discover a different perspective of London, improve your fitness, embrace nature but also feel great about yourself. With this particular Hike, we’ll be hiking from l Petts Wood to Hayes. We’ll be traversing through Crofton Wood, Darrick Wood, Church End plantation, Bogey lane and Hayes Common. There will be a mixture of muddy and clear pathways. This is also part of the London Loop which is a near 150 mile pathway that encircles almost all of Greater London and is split into 24 hiking routes. This is section 3.
