Hey adventurers! 🌊👣 Join us for a scenic coastal walk from Maroubra to Coogee Beach, taking in stunning ocean views, rugged cliffs, and the calming sounds of the waves along the way. 🏞️ Once we reach Coogee Beach, we’ll grab some delicious food and refreshing drinks 🍹🍔 before heading into the water for a swim 🏖️ to cool off and enjoy the beautiful beach vibes. Follow our rules below.*** 📌V**olleyball Game Rules** * Max 3 hits per team * A block does not count as one of the 3 hits * Encourage passing or setting the ball to your team mates * No double hits (except after a block) * No touching the net * Serve behind the line * Ball out = point to other team * No catching, kicking or throwing the ball * Rotate when your team wins the serve from the opponents * If your team is already serving and wins the point → no rotation * Communication is encouraged to avoid collisions (Say mine! or my ball) * No interference or distraction of the opposing team * Fix the net if loosen * Play safe and communicate with team mates * Help setup/pack up the nets and balls * Do not lose any pins We will be playing 6v6, 5v5, 4v4 at Coogee Beach on rotation so that everyone who attends gets a chance to play. We will have 2-3 nets for everyone. **Winning team stays, losing team allow next team to play. 🌊 Coastal Epic: The Unofficial 35km 'Bloody Long Walk' Challenge ~35KM

Join us for a massive **35km coastal challenge over Eastern Beaches** as we take on our unofficial attempt of the scenic 'Bloody Long Walk' (Sydney East route). Originally hosted by the Mito Foundation each November, we are tackling this spectacular coastal track our own way. This is a demanding, long-distance trek requiring high fitness and endurance, but the world-class ocean views are worth every step. Expect a massive 35km distance requiring a steady pace. The terrain features a diverse mix of coastal boardwalks, beach walking (sand), paved streets, stairs, and multiple headland ascents. * **Start:** 8:30 AM sharp at Pioneers Park (off Anzac Pde, near the Hillary Pde bus stop). Please arrive a few minutes early. **Finish:** Circular Quay (followed by an optional, well-earned dinner for those who go the distance!). * **Route:** We will start at Pioneers Park and head down to Maroubra Beach, making our way north through Coogee and up to Bondi. From there, we join the famous coastal trail (which we recently completed from the opposite direction!), passing the stunning Diamond Bay and Hornby Lighthouse at Watsons Bay. We will then sweep through Rose Bay and past Mrs Macquarie's Chair before finally wrapping up at Circular Quay. * **Gratuity:** A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. We play on hard ground, so leave the spike boots at home (unless you enjoy sliding around like Bambi on ice ). *** **One golden rule:** Cancelling after **12 PM on Saturday** means you’re out for future games. If you say you’re coming, you’re coming. Why? Because commitment is the only “fee” we charge. No drama, no flakes — just good people and good football. ⚠️ FOR YOUR SAFETY & ENJOYMENT, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BELOW FULLY BEFORE YOU CLICK ‘Attend’! ******************************************** 🗓 DATE: Saturday, 25 July 2026. ⏰ MEETING TIME: 10am. 🚊 MEETING POINT: for those travelling by train - Newcastle Interchange Station, at the entry/exit. 🚆7.22am - train from Central station departs from Platform 8 (CCN Newcastle Interchange via Strathfield). 🚆 9.53am - arrives at Newcastle Interchange (last station). 🚌 10.17am - upon arrival at Newcastle Interchange, we will immediately walk across the road to catch a local bus (Opal card) to Merewether Surf Life Saving Club to start our exciting walk. 🚗 10.40am - those travelling by car, you can meet the group at: https://www.merewetherslsc.com.au/ 🅿️ Please check for parking limits near Merewether Surf Life Saving Club. 🚗 All day parking may be available at nearby residential area or playground. 🚶10.45am - we will start our adventure from Merewether Surf Life Saving Club with loads of photo stops along Merewether Beach and Ocean Baths, Glenrock Lagoon, Burwood Beach, Dudley Beach and part of the Great North Walk. 🥪 After BYO lunch, we will continue our adventure stopping at few awesome lookouts, rainforest walks on the way back to the starting point at Merewether Surf Life Saving Club. 🚌 Those travelling by train, you may catch a bus from Merewether Surf Life Saving Club to Newcastle Interchange for your return journey back to Sydney. 📸 WHAT TO EXPECT: 🚶‍♂️Located between Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, Glenrock State Conservation Area offers an astounding array of recreational opportunities. The reserve is a thriving sanctuary for local wildlife and unique flora. Keep an eye out for echidnas snuffling through the leaf litter or lace monitors basking on warm logs. The area is also home to a significant population of powerful owls and glossy black cockatoos. 🥾 DISTANCE: 16km return loop. 🥾 GRADE: Easy/mostly Moderate on a steady pace, not slow pace! 💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and down hills, creek crossings, rock scramblings, walking on sandy beaches and a bit of bush bashing at few overgrown sections. 💪🏽 Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections. 🏃‍♂️Limited get out points along the trails. ⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️ 📝 TERMS & DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk. Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach Coastal Walk + Beach Market after

Bondi to Bronte coastal walk this Sunday if anyone wants to tag along! It's a really easy, scenic 5km walk (takes about an hour) with great ocean views. Afterwards, the plan is to head over to the Beach Market to grab a bite to eat/drinks and walk around. The plan: Meet up: 1:00 pm at the Bondi Pavilion (finishing around 3:00 pm). Bring: Just some comfy shoes, water, and sun protection. It’ll be a good chance to catch up, get some fresh air, and enjoy the afternoon.

Magnificent Harbour Walk! - South Mosman Ferry Wharf to Spit Bridge 14KM

**Magnificent Harbour Walk! - South Mosman Ferry Wharf to Spit Bridge 14KM** **This is one of the most scenic Harbour Walks in Sydney, with many great elements including new tracks to explore!**! **We** meet at **Circular Quay Wharf 4, Side A** by no later than **9:50AM** to catch **10:00AM ferry to South Mosman Ferry Wharf,** arriving 10:14AM. We make off through **Great Sirius Cove** and enter the Taronga Zoo Trail through to Bradleys Head. Taylors Bay and **Chowder Bay** follow, then it is out to **Middle Head** where we find **historical artillery gun emplacements,** tunnels and bunkers. There are fantastic views into the East Harbour, so we **stop at Middle Head here for our lunch break**. **MEMBERS MUST BRING LUNCH!** After lunch we skirt around naval base **HMAS Penguin**, and head down to **Balmoral Beach.** Up and over Wyargine Point, the route goes through Rosherville Park and **Chainman's Beach** before passing the **Parririwi Lighthouse**.
