⚽ **Want to kick off your Sunday the right way?** Looking to play futsal in Sydney? Say no more — we’ve got you covered! Join us **every Sunday at 10 AM** at South Eveleigh Sports Courts for fast-paced, good-vibes futsal. Whether you’re a seasoned baller or you’ve never touched a futsal ball before — if you love football, you’re one of us. We play on hard ground, so leave the spike boots at home (unless you enjoy sliding around like Bambi on ice ). *** **One golden rule:** Cancelling after **12 PM on Saturday** means you’re out for future games. If you say you’re coming, you’re coming. Why? Because commitment is the only “fee” we charge. No drama, no flakes — just good people and good football. If you’re cool with that, we’ll welcome you with open arms. Fair warning, though… Once you join, you’ll probably want to play every week. See you on Sunday! ⚽

Our July FP Syd meeting is a networking event without talks. Join us in North Sydney next Monday to talk functions, lambdas, purity, and all things programming. We are meeting for drinks and chit-chat at the Firehouse Hotel in North Sydney (close to the Microsoft office). As usual, we will be meeting at 6pm. Depending on the RSVPs, we will try to reserve one or two tables in advance or just turn up if we are not many people.

The Paradox of Spiritual Seeking

The Paradox of Spiritual Seeking

Sun, Aug 2, 3:00 AM
From Non-duality Sydney
4.7

## Meetup Topic: The Paradox of Spiritual Seeking Many spiritual traditions encourage practice while also warning that the very desire for liberation can become another form of attachment. How do we practice awakening without turning it into a personal achievement or a heroic project of the ego? In this meetup, we will explore the paradox of seeking through the lenses of Zen, Advaita, and other traditions. Together, we'll inquire into what authentic practice might look like when nothing needs to be acquired, yet practice continues. No prior knowledge is required. The emphasis will be on direct experience, inquiry, and open dialogue. ### Agenda **1:00 pm – 1:10 pm** — Welcome, introductions, and opening meditation **1:10 pm – 1:55 pm** — Session 1: Why do we seek? Is liberation something to attain, or is the search itself part of the illusion? **1:55 pm – 2:05 pm** — Tea break **2:05 pm – 2:15 pm** — Silent meditation and inquiry **2:15 pm – 2:55 pm** — Session 2: Will, Grace, and authentic practice. If there is nothing to become, what does practice mean? **2:55 pm – 3:00 pm** — Closing reflections and takeaways **IMPORTANT:** * NEW DIGICODE: The digicode at the door is 9201# . You will need it to access the building. * The meeting will last 2 hours, including a break. * Suggested donation: $10.
