This will give us a chance to play a selection of video games together all the while being able to order drinks & snack straight to us! If you like to play modern tabletop (board, card, dice, tile and dexterity) games, and you enjoy meeting new people, then join us in the evenings from around 7pm until the venue closes. Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't, as regular members will have some of theirs. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can join us any time during the evening, so if you can't arrive at 7pm, don't worry, just let us know your ETA. Everyone is free to come and go when they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or the last to leave. If there are lots of us, we may split into groups to play different games. Please write what time you expect to arrive in your RSVP and/or the event comments, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. People who usually attend are a relaxed and friendly bunch, made up of both UK natives and foreigners, who may be locals or live further away, who are happy to welcome newbies and regulars. This event will either take place at the host's home (which can cater for up to six players and where there is [a large collection of games](https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/natts?rankobjecttype=subtype&rankobjectid=1&columns=title%7Cstatus%7Cversion%7Crating%7Cbggrating%7Cplays%7Ccomment%7Ccommands&geekranks=Board%20Game%20Rank&own=1&objecttype=thing&ff=1&subtype=boardgame) and accessories to play with) who lives at the top of Manchester Road, or if there are more than six players, or if anyone coming would prefer to meet in public, then at the Pepper Street Tavern (which has many tables, but can be noisier, not as well lit, has a set closing time which might interrupt gameplay, and is more expensive than the supermarket). If you want to come but are not comfortable playing in a private residence, please let us know ASAP. Events in this group are free to attend, but it is respectful to the public venues which we may hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present, just like anyone else at the pub would do. If the event is at a private home, you can bring your own choice of drinks and/or snacks. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy/bring the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. This saves money, that can be put towards the [Meetup subscription fees](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/28677808413197-Organizer-Subscription-prices-overview) and buying the games that we all play. Pepper Street Tavern (formerly Pepper St. Ontiod) is a cosy reasonably-priced pub in the Docklands, near Canary Wharf, just 3 minutes walk from Crossharbour DLR station, 5 minutes from South Quay DLR station, about 10 minutes walk from the Jubilee line station, and a little further from the Elizabeth Line station. Various TFL buses stop nearby at Crossharbour station. Wed, Jul 22, 6:00 PMWe are excited to welcome you to our Social Tabletop and Party games. 👾 Before the event I will provide a link to a temporary WhatsApp group for first timers to help you find us. On this occasion we hope to bring you a thrilling deduction game of Blood On The Clocktower. Please note this can only start once enough people arrive who want to play. Blood on the Clocktower is a 5–20 player Hidden identity game (similar to Traitors, Mafia or Werewolf) where a good team tries to identify a the evil team before they eliminate the whole village. High player interaction, with unique character roles, and a Storyteller to guide the game. Our regulars always bring a wide selection, also *you are welcome to bring your own games*. If you fancy playing games, cooling off,🧉 good conversation 🍷and new friends to🍵 share plenty of laughs, we'd be thrilled to have you along
Wednesday Night Gaming!
Wed, Jul 22, 5:30 PMCome and play board games! We play all types of games on a Wednesday night, ranging from social deduction and lighter games to heavy euros and complex strategy titles. Beginners are very welcome, we'd love to see you! We'll always welcome you on the night and make sure we get you into a game, and we have plenty of players on hand happy to teach the rules to different games - so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. We don't charge for attending the Meetup, but you will need to pay the Ludoquist's game session fee of £8 per person (unless you have a Gold or VIP [membership](https://www.theludoquist.com/collections/membership-2022)). We start arriving from 6.30pm if anyone wants to join early for short games and chat - please do try to arrive by 6.50pm, so we have time to discuss who'd like to play what, in time for the main games to start at 7pm.
