Actors say its always more fun to play the villain....and we as gamers wholeheartedly agree! Join us for a fun night as our game nights return (after moving back a week for Memorial Day) by playing Villainy Games!! Essentially any game where at least one player plays a conniving, murderous, scheming villain! We truly have some amazing games coming out so come on out for a night in reveling in evil! Sam will be hosting **[LAST FRIDAY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz9dJx1bl9A),** a super fun and thematic camp killer game! Most of the players play as camp counselors that have just arrived to the camp. However another player plays the killer who stalks their tents at night. The players must survive 2 nights and 2 days and either the players or the killer will win! Mike will be hosting **[JAWS: THE BOARD GAME!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmFGqtuYWgU)** In this wild game, one person plays the iconic white shark and tries to eat all the rest of the players. The players have various tools at their disposal but as we know from the movie, the shark is a formidable foe! Dylan will be hosting **[DISNEY'S VILLANOUS,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1JoAR9icU0)**[ ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1JoAR9icU0)a game where you play as iconic Disney villains trying to our villain one another. Each villain has their own rules for winning along with their own thematic decks. Play as Hades, Cruella, Scar, Rattigan, Gaston, Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Sheer Kahn, and so many more as Gabi has all expansions made for this game! Hetul will be hosting **[MARVEL VILLIANOUS,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8lrkYTef98)** a game where you play as iconic marvel villains trying out out scheme one another. This game plays slightly different than regular Villainous and has a few more rules that add to the fun and complexity. And Justin will be hosting **[LORDS OF WATERDEEP,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPP4BhtW2fM)** a game where you play as a sleazy leader of the iconic D&D town who seeks to spread your wealth an influence as far as possible to become the highest lord of Waterdeep! Play Go and Socialize

Play Go and Socialize

Sun, May 24, 9:00 PM
From San Francisco Go Club

The SF Go Club is the best place to play Go in the SF Bay Area and the oldest Go club in North America. Started in the 1880s by Japanese sailors looking to play Go, it established itself as an official club in 1935 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1984. The club has a rich community of members and a wonderful club-room filled with equipment, both for playing and teaching. It’s a great place to meet interesting people and share this exciting game with them in person. We are a non-profit social club for teaching and playing the game of Go together. Never played before? We are happy to show you! https://sfgoclub.com

Board Game Playtesting at Dogpatch Games (San Francisco)

Board Game Playtesting at Dogpatch Games (San Francisco)

Fri, May 29, 1:00 AM
From Golden Gate Gamemakers
4.8

Welcome to the Golden Gate Gamemakers' board game playtesting event at Dogpatch Games in San Francisco! We meet last Thursdays 6pm-10pm. We are a community of tabletop game designers & board game fanatics who meet monthly at Dogpatch Games (1095 Tennessee St. in San Francisco's Dogpatch district) to playtest each other's prototypes, provide feedback, help each other get published, and most importantly... have fun! Whether you’re game is days away from Kickstarter, or just ideas on a napkin, or you just want to hangout and playtest other prototypes (we LOVE playtesters!)…all are welcome! A few notes if this is your first time joining us: \- Our goal is to provide a community around creating new games\. Every designer will get their prototype to the table\. We give everyone the chance to play games and get their game played\. \- Each designer gets equal time\, which is about one hour\. This includes rules explanations\, gameplay\, and time for feedback\. \- Please arrive on time if you have a game to playtest\. At the beginning of the night each designer will pitch their game to the group\, then breakout into smaller groups\. If you arrive and playtesting has already begun\, we will try to accommodate you later in the evening\. \- If your game requires more than one hour\, or requires a player count of 6 or more\, please contact us ahead of time so we can make arrangements\. \- Please stay for as long as you can to playtest others’ games\. \- When you arrive\, please check in with the cashier and inform them you’re with the San Francisco Board Game Designers\. Dogpatch Games charges customers an hourly fee \(monthly subscriptions are available\)\, but we have negotiated **a flat rate of $12 per person you'll need to pay for the evening**. \- Dogpatch Games does not yet sell food or drink\, but outside food is very welcomed\. There are many great options within a couple blocks\. \- Street parking is readily available nearby\. Or take BART to the Powell Street station and transfer to San Francisco Muni “T”\-line and take that eastbound to 20th & 3rd Ave stop\. Dogpatch Games is then one block away\. \- Please no “blind playtesting”\. You must teach your game yourself and not require playtesters to read rules during the event\. \- This is an event for playtesting your game and gathering feedback\, and not promoting your upcoming Kickstarter campaign\. \- Reach out to Phil Schwarzmann \(phillip\.schwarzmann@gmail\.com\) or for any questions\. Looking forward to seeing you there!! Phil [See GGG's full code of conduct here.](https://goldengategamemakers.com/Code_Of_Conduct/) Up-to-date details and our many other events can be found at [meetup.com/playgoldengate](meetup.com/playgoldengate)
