NEW VENUE! NEW REGULAR DAY! We're now back to where Southbank Vinyl began in 2017 - The Roebuck Pub in Borough (50 Great Dover St, London SE1 4YG). We're now meeting the first Wednesday of each month at the Roebuck, where great food and drink options are available and we have our own room upstairs to play our records on the deck. Come along with a bunch of vinyl you'd like to play and share with us! This month’s theme is 'Spaces and Places'. Think spaces big and small – rivers deep, mountains high, boxes you could live in, pockets you could put one hand in. Think places far and wide – halfway down the stairs, up on the roof, across the universe or intergalactic. Tate Modern: Photo Scavenger Hunt | London 20s and 30s

**On Friday 26th June, we're really excited to be heading back to the Tate Modern for our latest fast-paced Photo Scavenger Hunt.** Every final Friday of the month, the Gallery stays open late - giving visitors the chance to explore its incredible collection after hours, with special exhibitions and bars open for drinks 🌙 However, rather than simply admiring the artwork, we'll be turning our visit into one of our famous gallery-wide team photo hunts. If you've not joined one before, our Photo Hunts are a unique mix of a **Scavenger Hunt** and **Where's Wally?,** set inside one of the world's most famous galleries 🖼️ We've curated a fresh selection of intriguing background characters, unusual objects and eye-catching details hidden within the artworks across the gallery. Armed with clues and photo hints, your team's mission is to **track down as many as possible** before time runs out 🕵️ The clues will help point you in the right direction, but many of the answers are designed to be easy to miss - so you'll need to keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you. Thames Foreshore Visit - Limekiln Dock (Full Members only)

Running through the heart of London; the River Thames has played a central role in the history of the city, and when the tide is low, the capital’s longest archaeological site is revealed. Come along on Sunday 5th July to explore its history! **About the foreshore** I will be your guide as we will be going down to the Thames foreshore at low tide and walking along the foreshore, where we will have about 1h 30mins to have a look around for objects before the tide comes in. Where we are going is an old dock that leads onto the foreshore. I will tell you more about foreshore, the industry in the area and will be on hand to identify and date objects you find. Most objects you can spot sitting on the foreshore after being washed in on the tide (its eyes only, we are not allowed to dig or scrape the foreshore surface). You will find everything from bits of pottery, clay pipes, bottles, animal bones to ship items. Most of the things we find are from the Medieval to the Victorian period or you might be lucky and find something Roman or older. We should be finished by 12noon. **The Thames Foreshore is private land, so before we go down, I have to give everyone a short talk on health & safety on the foreshore. As per the conditions of my group permit, you will need to be present for this, if you are late, I won't be able to accommodate you.** **Footwear** The foreshore is very stony, but can be muddy in places, so please wear sensible shoes (preferably walking boots/shoes or wellington boots). Tottenham Court Road Picture Hunt

**Meet at Warren Street tube outside exit.** **"Tottenham Court Road**, a market road, or street, leading from Oxford Street to the prebendal manor of Tothill, Totenhall, or Totenham Court, described in Domesday, and originally appertaining to the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's. This is another of our many outside Picture Hunts this year. If any issues with weather, we’ll switch to our 50-50 Trivia in a nearby pub, so turn up as something will be on regardless. If you’re new to Picture Hunts, check the previous weeks for winners and clue sheets. This time, the event will be centred around different buildings, shops and features on a different side of Tottenham Court Rd to the previous one, so there’s no crossing of busy roads. This road is not touristy like Charing Cross Rd opposite. Please aim to turn up for 1:00-1:30 when teams are being arranged. The Hunt starts at 1:30. You're losing search time if you're late! Bring a pen please. As usual, portions of the road are split up into four areas where teams search for the locations of photographed items in the street, buildings or shop windows, and then record where they found them. Picture Hunts are a great new way to get up to speed with slices of London history while sleuthing around the area. Everyone is presented with twenty partial photos of objects around an area. Your team mission is to find them. Some well known, some well unknown! This makes Picture Hunts more interesting and challenging, bringing out the best of your teams detecting skills. You will also have a map of the area. It will be sub-divided into four sections, P, Q, R, S. Each photo will come from one of these. Four players max per team, but the lower number teams get a point per player start from the biggest team. For example, four teams of one, two, three and four. Four player team, no advantage, (the biggest and theoretically the more knowledge between them, except it doesn't always work like that). Three player team, one point start. Two player team, two point start. One player team, three point start. Scores are always close and around the 15-20 points mark. How many players do you want in your team? There's a dilemma! The clipboard holder enters one of the letters to note its area location. Dead simple, right? 90 minutes to do the hunt. We have the usual prizes of chocolate, including some great new varieties. There is also an equal prize for the funniest team name. Names win prizes too! So there’s everything to play for. We mark up at the quiz finish point. To be confirmed. Hunts are good fun and the proven experience so far is that members get to know each other better after working in teams as you all have to communicate. Great icebreakers. Cultureseekers Monthly Lunch - The Sun Wharf pub, 50 Tooley St

Come along on Sunday 21st June for lunch before the guided walk. **About the event** Once a month at lunchtime before the guided walks, we will be having lunch in a local cafe or pub in the area the walk is in. It's a chance to chat and get to know people in the group in a quiet relaxed setting. Each month's place will be in a different part of London and different cafes or pubs. The lunches are open to all, whether you come on the walk or not. Lookout for the 'London Cultureseekers' group signs on the tables when you get to the pub. Its a Wetherspoons pub.
