Social Cricket - All levels welcome

Come by Marlborough Sports Garden (near London Bridge) on Saturday 22nd August starting 5:00PM and for a fun, social cricket match on an outdoor court. 🏏 This is a casual sporting event so everyone is welcome to join, whatever your skill level. Teams will be sorted on the day depending on numbers. No equipment needed, I will bring all of it with me and sort out all the organisation so all you need to do is simply show up and have fun! We will be playing classic South-asian gully cricket rules, so we will only be playing with a tennis ball and the whole idea is to make it as accessible as possible, so if it’s your first time playing cricket or you grew up with it (like myself), this event is for you. I’ll be bringing snacks too, and we can get dinner from a nearby place after the match for anyone who’s up for it. How to book: RSVP here first. It’s 6 GBP to confirm your spot. The first 16 to pay are in. Feel free to invite your friends along. We need a minimum of 6 people for the game to go ahead, but the more the merrier! DANCING EVERY 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD SATURDAY NIGHTS <3 Tribalheart Ecstatic dance creates space for free-form movement in a chat free zone where you can dive deeply into the heart, reconnecting, expressing, dancing in and out, up and down, learning to let go of anything and everything that holds you back from yourSelf and inner freedom. Let the energy move you, let the spirit of the heart guide you. There is space to dance alone and no pressure to connect with anyone else, just be yourself and honour what you need in the moment. This night is an inspiration and fusion of club culture, dancing yoga, active meditation, cardio fitness, Ecstatic trance dance (blindfolds available) and a sacred Nataraj. If you choose to connect, it is a chance to meet others without words from a place of movement, meditation, energy and soul; eyes and heart wide open. ### We will start the evening with a welcoming warmup to relax the body and mind. Together we will set an intention for the evening inviting the heart to open and awaken within us thus creating sacred space for all. For those that wish to partake, we will enjoy and deepen our intention with a short Cacao ceremony. (The cacao is used to take us deeper into our body, awakening our senses, connecting us to heart energy and aiding a spring in our step) We also embark on some dynamic breathwork to fire us up for the evening. \- Please leave at least 2 hours after eating a heavy meal if drinking cacao\. -Please do not drink alcohol before the event as it is contraindicated with some of the breathwork techniques we practice We inject passion into sourcing the music for our events and aim to deliver an eclectic mix of genres for your heart. From tribal to electronic and everything in between we aim to assist a natural flow peaking and resting to mirror the rhythm and energy of life. Prepare to shake, spin, whirl and twirl. She trained and developed in various methods over the years from bodywork, tantra, shamanism, hypnotherapy, psychosexual somatics and breathwork which she blends into her various groups and 1:1 practise. We'll be returning next to the Civil Service Club that is moments from Trafalgar Square and many other transport links. Social & Fun Backgammon 🎲🎲 at the CSC Whether you're a seasoned backgammoner or a newbie looking to learn this fabulous game that is thousands of years old, our social event is open to all. This is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your game, and share a laugh (or a lucky double six!) over backgammon. Add in a drink, maybe dinner, and you’ve got the recipe for a fun and relaxed evening. Venue Food and Drink We’re asked to buy at least one drink (or even two!) whilst we’re at the Club, and if possible food too. You'll find that prices are good and there's a nice range of food and snacks on offer, so it’s a great chance to relax and make the most of the day. About our backgammon social group Our group has been running for 11 years since June 2015 and we have held nearly 500 official backgammon meetings - along with a further 300 off-grid (non meetups) since then. We are the largest backgammon group in the UK with nearly 2,500 backgammoners as members. What makes our group different and special are its members and the warmth, humour and friendliness whilst playing this splendid social game over a few drinks... usually fortnightly, and on a Sunday. We have about 30-odd regular members who play socially and we very much welcome new players too - so do come along. Dinner Time and Drinks and Food In between the rounds of backgammon many of us sit for a meal around 6pm, but you can order drinks and food whenever you like. RSVP Please RSVP asap - Often I need to provide the Club with an indication of names and numbers. Bring your own Backgammon Board - no problem if initially you don't have one. Love seeing the different styles and size of boards - my boards have somehow gotten larger over the years. Please bring your own backgammon board and should you not have one please let us know in advance via the Meetup message board so that others can make the effort to bring theirs. Meetup Fee I will ask for £4 (please kindly bring cash) as the meetup organisation fees etc have increased substantially over the past year or two. This also assists paying other admin costs including Club membership and tips to staff. Other Games We sometimes play other games in the evening such as Rummikub, Yahtzee, and a type of Gin Rummy... so ask and watch this space! **Welcome to Mafia Games (and Social) London Waterloo!** With summer having arrived, we thought we’d have a few games of Mafia for beginners and new players! The plan is to meet at 18:00 at [The Hercules](https://www.thehercules.co.uk/), Lambeth, 2 Kennington Rd, London SE1 7BL (Carousel Room, Second Floor) We will be playing a few games of Mafia, if you are new you are very welcome to come - the game is easy to learn (but difficult to master!) **Do I need to know anything beforehand?** This is a casual **beginner-friendly** event, and most of you will be playing with us for the first time. You will get to play many games. Most importantly, this is a social activity, so feel free to talk to anyone between the games and have fun! **What is Mafia?** Have you seen 'The Traitors'? Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game; it can get competitive, but it's easy to learn. We play at multiple tables. You get a secret role and work with your team to win. A game lasts about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. While this is a **beginner-friendly** event, we also host tournaments and online events with more experienced players from around the world.
