The Inner Game NYC - Intros and First Meetup!

Hi Inner Gamers, Our first Inner Game NYC meetup is coming up, and I’m excited to finally get this group together in person. 📍 **Bryant Park** 📅 **August 1st** 🕔 **4:00 PM** [RSVP](https://www.meetup.com/the-inner-game-nyc/events/315649329/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events) For our first conversation, we’ll start with introductions and talking about what we're working on in our lives or what we're trying to figure out. Then, we will dive into **Part 1 of David Deida’s The Way of the Superior Man**. You do not need to have finished it or agree with everything in the book. Come with a passage that stuck with you, an idea you disagreed with, a question you have been wrestling with, or simply some curiosity. We’ll use the book as a starting point to talk about bigger questions: What does it mean to live with purpose? How do you become more grounded and authentic in your relationships? What are you currently trying to figure out in your own life? The goal is not to sit around pretending we have all the answers (because we don't). It is to have the kind of honest conversation that is hard to find elsewhere. Whether you’re single, dating, in a relationship, married, starting over, or anywhere in between, and regardless of your age, you’re welcome. Tuesday Night Weekly Game Night - NOW AT COBBLESTONE'S!

**\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*PLEASE NOTE\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** *** ***\*\* In order to support Cobblestones for letting us use their space, there is a $15 minimum food/drink order per person.\*\**** We're a friendly group of gamers that play everything from Carcassonne & Ticket to Ride to Wingspan & heavier Eurogames! If you don't recognize the games, don't worry, everyone is happy to teach new players the rules. And feel free to bring your own board games if you wish. Between all of us, there's usually a large selection of games to choose from. In order to support our awesome, not-too-loud, well-lit venue, each person must purchase something to eat or a few drinks. ***\*\*\*Again, there is a $15 minimum per person.****\*\*\** *** We always welcome new people & we're all here to have fun, but we do have a few ground rules that we ask everyone to be aware of: * Treat everyone in the group with respect & do not discriminate. Some of us "trash talk" when we play, but it's all in good fun & in the spirit of gaming. * This is a restaurant/bar so accidents are bound to happen. However, if you're responsible for ruining someone else's game by spilling a beverage or food on it, the right thing to do is to offer to purchase a new copy for them. Some of the games we bring are out of print so please treat every board game with respect. * If a game is accidentally ruined by a staff member, everyone at the table should pitch in to buy a new one for the owner. Games we play: party, social deduction, strategy, euro. There's usually plenty of games around, but feel free to bring your own. It's very important to support our hosts in opening up their place for us. We ask you to purchase a beverage from them. They have a great drink selection to choose from. Great food options in the area and that we're allowed to bring in! If you arrive late and games have already begun, the wait for a new game shouldn't be long.

Cooperative games fighting horrible diseases. Classic euro games where you haggle over sheep and wheat. Whether you want to fight unspeakable horrors in Arkham or build railroads across America or rebuild your farm after the black plague (more fun than it sounds) you can probably find a game you would like. Some games you might see are 7 Wonders, Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, Dominion, Dixit, Puerto Rico, Eldritch Horror, Ticket to Ride, Carcasonne among many others.
