Superplane & Elastic: AI Agents That Build & Ship Code
Thu, Sep 17, 10:00 PMSoftware factories are here. AI agents write code, open PRs, run tests, deploy to production, and respond to incidents - all without waiting for a human to click a button. Join SuperPlane and Elastic for an evening where engineering leaders, platform teams, and SREs explore what it actually takes to run a software factory: how agents ship code, how Elastic monitors what happens in production, and how SuperPlane orchestrates the full loop from commit → deploy to incident to fix. SuperPlane is the agent orchestrator that turns your tools into a software factory. Elastic is the observability engine that tells you what's happening inside it. This is an unconference, you bring the topics, we bring the structure (and drinks). Come with opinions about how far you'd let agents go. 📅 **Date:** Thursday, September 17th from 6:00-9:00 PM 📍 **Location:** Elastic NYC Office 1250 Broadway, Floor 16, Training Room New York, NY 10001 **Some topics we would discuss:** * How much autonomy should agents have in production? * Building the feedback loop: deploy → observe → respond → learn * Agents that fix what agents broke - is that a loop or a spiral? * What does "human in the loop" actually mean when agents ship 10x faster? * Observability as the control plane for your software factory * From Kibana alert to automated rollback - what's your threshold? * The trust problem: when do you stop reviewing agent PRs? **Format:** * Topics proposed by attendees at the beginning * Sessions run in small groups (\~5-7 people) * 30 minutes of facilitated discussion per session * Open participation and movement between sessions encouraged 📝 **Schedule:** * 6:00 – 6:30 PM → Arrival, food & drinks, networking * 6:30 – 6:50 PM → Welcome + software factories w/ Elastic & Superplane * 6:50 – 7:00 PM → Topic proposals & voting * 7:00 – 7:30 PM → Session 1 * 7:30 – 7:40 PM → Short break * 7:40 – 8:10 PM → Session 2 * 8:10 – 8:20 PM → Short break * 8:20 – 8:50 PM → Session 3 * 8:50 – 9:00 PM → Wrap-up & key takeaways * 9:00 PM → Closing **🎟️ Coming up: ElasticON NYC** Join us October 8 for a free day of hands-on learning, expert insights, and real-world AI, search, observability, and security sessions. **[Register for free](https://www.elastic.co/events/elasticon/new-york-city?utm_source=luma&utm_medium=event_page&utm_campaign=elasticon_nyc_2026&utm_content=superplane_meetup_sep17)**[.](https://www.elastic.co/events/elasticon/new-york-city?utm_source=luma&utm_medium=event_page&utm_campaign=elasticon_nyc_2026&utm_content=superplane_meetup_sep17) **About SuperPlane** **[SuperPlane](http://spweb)** Software Factory platform that transforms software delivery from a collection of manual tasks into an orchestrated, AI-powered production system. It coordinates AI agents, developers, infrastructure, and operational tools to build, test, deploy, and maintain software with speed, consistency, and governance. **About Elastic** **[Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/?utm_source=luma)** is the observability stack behind high-velocity engineering teams. With Elasticsearch, Kibana, and the rest of Elastic Stack, engineers, SREs and platform engineers get real-time visibility into logs, metrics, traces, and security events correlated in one place, not scattered across tools. As release cadence increases with the adoption of software factories, Elastic keeps you in control of what's running and why.

Ronda Central Park — Monthly Social Circle
Sat, Sep 19, 11:30 AMLink of the event **[https://ronda-club.com/circles/ll7BSBPeJNaHhszUZmgf](https://ronda-club.com/circles/ll7BSBPeJNaHhszUZmgf)** Ronda is back this year with the same simple idea: creating real, authentic circles of people — without the pressure of traditional networking or dating events. What if we simply met once a month at 5 PM in Central Park? A relaxed meetup for friends, newcomers, locals, expats, and anyone open to meeting new people naturally. No host. No awkward activities. No forced introductions. Just come as you are, meet people, and see who you connect with. How Ronda works 1\. Create your Ronda profile Introduce yourself and tell people what kind of connections you're looking for. 2\. Join the New York Circle Join the Ronda New York Circle 3\. Connect before or after the meetup Discover the people in the Circle, connect with those you'd like to know, and privately talk about your intentions, interests, or simply your desire to meet. That's the Ronda secret: the meetup creates the opportunity — you decide who you connect with. The spirit Come as you are. Keep it chill, friendly and natural. Be kind, respectful and inclusive. Respect everyone's boundaries and intentions. There is no expectation to connect with anyone. This is a self-organized meetup. Ronda provides the Circle and helps people discover each other, but there is no organizer or host managing the gathering. Central Park · 5 PM · Once a month Chill. Friends. Newcomers. Real connections.

Sat, Sep 26, 2:00 PMweekly astronomy / physics, see details section for RSVP info, sometimes cancels
Tue, Sep 15, 4:30 PMWeekly astronomy class with Laird and the unrelated events on https://aaa.org/ sometimes get cancelled, so please RSVP with them first and ask the instructor for the location, his email is: laird@lairdwh.com Use this meetup site to RSVP and use as a reminder for yourself.... But not as the official permission list... Immediately below is a description of his event, and at the bottom is information about another science group, unrelated, but it occasionally has astronomy: Taught by Laird W. Ph.D. and here's how he describes it: “Astronomy is about EVERYTHING. Or at least that's why I became interested in it in 2nd grade. Now, 40 years post Ph.D. in Astronomy. Astronomy, and indeed all of science is still my passion. My advisor was Carl Sagan.” First class is free. Ongoing, astronomy class at the Senior Center. You don't have to be a senior to join, but you should pay the Senior Center $2.50 (or $5 for every other meeting), you attend, (exact change is appreciated). Note regarding emails: Make sure the word MEETUP does NOT appear anywhere in the email. Below, is a link to another unrelated science group that has various events, sometimes about astronomy: https://www.simonsfoundation.org and click on events
