London Psychedelic Community: Nature & Connection - Park & Picnic Day!

London Psychedelic Community: Nature & Connection - Park & Picnic Day!

Sun, Sep 13, 1:00 PM
From London Psychedelic Community

London Psychedelic Community: Nature & Connection 🌿🧺 Free to RSVP [Tickets are available here](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/london-psychedelic-community-nature-connection-park-picnic-day-tickets-1999273323329) Our **Meetup group has recently been relaunched as a public group**, so the membership numbers there are starting again from scratch. The community itself has been gathering since **2018**, with more than **130 events** held over the years. We are gradually moving away from Meetup as our main events platform, so **Eventbrite and WhatsApp are the best places to stay updated about future events.** 🌐 STAY CONNECTED Follow the **London Psychedelic Community** to hear about future gatherings: šŸŽ« **Eventbrite:** Please follow our Eventbrite page, [London Psychedelic Community](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/london-psychedelic-community-67359356833) as we gradually transition away from [[Meetup.com](http://meetup.com/)]([https://www.meetup.com/london-psychedelic-community-new/](https://www.meetup.com/london-psychedelic-community-new/)) and expand future events there. šŸ“ø **Instagram:** [London Psychedelic Community](https://www.instagram.com/londonpsychedeliccommunity) 🌼 **Dandelion Events:** [London Psychedelic Community](https://dandelion.events/o/londonpsychedeliccommunity) šŸ’¬ **WhatsApp Community:** [Join us on WhatsApp](https://chat.whatsapp.com/FYsPBIuntbALbA8sLG5Mpb?mode=gi_t) 🌿 **OutSavvy:** [London Psychedelic Community](https://www.outsavvy.com/organiser/london-psychedelic-community) šŸ‘„ **Meetup:** [London Psychedelic Community](https://www.meetup.com/london-psychedelic-community-new/) # London Psychedelic Community: Nature & Connection 🌿🧺 **Meet open-minded people for a relaxed afternoon of nature, connection, and meaningful conversation around psychedelics, consciousness, wellbeing, and the wider human experience.** Step away from the noise of city life and join us for a gentle Sunday gathering in **Regent’s Park**. We’ll meet at Baker Street, take a relaxed walk through the park and **Queen Mary’s Rose Garden**, then settle somewhere peaceful on the grass for a picnic, conversation, laughter, reflection, and good company. Along the way, we’ll encourage some **gentle introductions and connection**, particularly for anyone coming alone or joining the community for the first time. There’s no forced networking or awkward icebreakers - just a little help creating opportunities for people to meet and for conversation to flow naturally. Once we’ve found a comfortable spot, we’ll take a few quiet minutes to arrive fully in the moment through a **short optional guided meditation** \- an opportunity to settle our minds\, notice the world around us\, connect with our environment\, breathe\, reflect\, and simply be\. From there, the afternoon opens into a relaxed picnic social with plenty of space for meaningful conversation, sharing perspectives, laughter, quiet reflection, and simply enjoying the company of like-minded people. Whether you are an experienced psychonaut, interested in psychedelic research and integration, exploring consciousness or spirituality, or simply looking for deeper conversations and genuine human connection, **you are warmly welcome**. Think of it as: **A relaxed picnic social — with depth.** *** ## šŸ“ THE PLAN **2:00 PM - Meet at the Sherlock Holmes Statue šŸ•µļø** We’ll meet by the **Sherlock Holmes statue next to Baker Street Station**. Come over, say hello, and give everyone a little time to arrive. **2:15 PM - Walk towards Regent’s Park 🌿** We’ll set off together at a relaxed pace towards Regent’s Park. The walk gives us a natural opportunity to start chatting, introduce ourselves, and get to know a few new people along the way. **2:30 PM - Queen Mary’s Rose Garden 🌹** We’ll make our way through the beautiful **Queen Mary’s Rose Garden** before continuing towards our picnic destination. Take your time, enjoy the surroundings, and let the conversations flow. **3:00 PM - Optional Introductions & Guided Meditation 🧘** Once we’re settled on the grass, we’ll have some gentle introductions for anyone who would like to take part. We’ll then have a **short optional guided meditation**, taking a few quiet moments to slow down, connect with our surroundings, breathe, reflect, and simply be. There is absolutely no pressure to participate. **3:15 PM–5:00 PM - Picnic & Chill 🧺✨** From here, the afternoon is yours. Relax, eat, chat, meet new people, share perspectives, listen, laugh, reflect, or simply enjoy being outside. **Everything is optional — come as you are and take part in whatever feels comfortable.** šŸ“ A live location will be shared on the day through our **WhatsApp community** for anyone joining us later. *** ## ✨ WHAT TO EXPECT This is a **relaxed community social**, rather than a workshop, therapy session, or formal event. Expect: * 🌿 A gentle walk through Regent’s Park * 🌹 A stroll through Queen Mary’s Rose Garden * šŸ¤ Light introductions and opportunities to meet new people * 🧘 A short, optional guided meditation in nature * 🧺 A relaxed picnic on the grass * šŸ’¬ Meaningful conversations beyond everyday small talk * 🧠 Space to explore ideas, experiences, and different perspectives * 🌳 Time to slow down and reconnect with nature * 😊 A friendly, welcoming, and open-minded atmosphere There is **no pressure to speak, share personal experiences, join the meditation, or stay for the whole event**. Come and go whenever you like. *** ## šŸ‘„ WHO IS IT FOR? Anyone who is curious and open-minded is welcome. You might be interested in: * Psychedelics and psychedelic research * Consciousness and altered states * Psychology and mental wellbeing * Integration * Spirituality and philosophy * Personal growth and self-exploration * Nature and wellbeing * Deeper conversations about life and the human experience Or perhaps you simply want to meet interesting people and have conversations that go a little further than everyday small talk. **You do not need any previous experience with psychedelics.** **Curiosity is enough.** *** ## 🌐 ABOUT THE COMMUNITY The **London Psychedelic Community has been gathering since 2018**, with more than **130 events** held over the years. We bring together curious minds, psychonauts, researchers, creatives, thinkers, and seekers interested in subjects including: * Psychedelics and psychedelic research * Consciousness and altered states * Mental health and wellbeing * Psychology and personal growth * Spirituality and philosophy * Integration and lived experience * Nature, creativity, and the wider mysteries of being human Alongside our regular socials nature-based gatherings, we have also hosted guest speakers and talks, and we hope to continue expanding into workshops, educational events, wellbeing-focused activities and retreats. A note about our Meetup group Our original Meetup community was private. We later decided to make it public so that it would be easier to discover - and so that those seeking a community like this could find us. Unfortunately, Meetup does not allow an existing private group to simply be changed to public, so we had to close the original group and reopen it. This meant our previous membership numbers could not be carried over, including around 3,000 members from the former group. So while the current Meetup group has effectively had to start again from scratch, the community itself has been gathering since **2018**, with more than **130 events** held over the years. Our events are also shared across **Eventbrite, Dandelion Events, OutSavvy, Luma, Meetup, and other event platforms**, helping new people discover and connect with the wider community. *** ## 🧠 ABOUT YOUR HOST Your host is a **psychonaut and lifelong philomath**, with a deep curiosity about consciousness, psychedelics, altered states of mind, and the deeper mysteries of existence. Their interests lie at the meeting point of **science, philosophy, and the sacred**, spanning psychedelic research and history, neuropsychopharmacology, consciousness, cymatics, sacred geometry, naturopathy, spirituality, religion, eschatology, esotericism, mysticism, unseen realms, demonology, logic, poetry, and the wider mysteries of the universe. At the heart of these interests is a fascination with some of the perennial questions humanity has explored for millennia: **Who are we? What is consciousness? What lies beyond ordinary perception? And what, if anything, can science, philosophy, spirituality, and altered states reveal about the nature of reality?** *** # ā“ FAQs ## šŸ™‹ CAN I COME ALONE? **Absolutely.** Many people come to our gatherings on their own, so you certainly won’t be the only one. We’ll create a few gentle opportunities during the walk for people to meet and speak to someone new, so you won’t simply be expected to arrive and find your own way into an established group. There’s no forced networking and no pressure to participate - the aim is simply to make meeting people feel natural and comfortable. **Come alone, come with friends, or come to make new ones.** *** ## 🧺 WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Nothing is required. If you would like, you can bring: * A picnic blanket or something to sit on * Food or snacks * Fruit * Water or drinks * A warm layer for later * A musical instrument - guitar, drum, flute, etc. šŸŽ¶ * Something to share, if you feel like it Or simply **bring yourself**. There is absolutely no pressure to bring food or anything to share. *** ## 🧘 DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE MEDITATION OR INTRODUCTIONS? Not at all. Both the guided meditation and introductions are **completely optional**. You are welcome to participate, quietly observe, or simply relax while they are happening. The purpose is to create a gentle opportunity to become present and help people connect - not to put anyone on the spot. *** ## šŸ„ DO I NEED EXPERIENCE WITH PSYCHEDELICS? No. You may be experienced, completely new to the subject, interested in psychedelic research, curious about consciousness, or simply interested in meeting open-minded people. **No previous psychedelic experience is required.** Curiosity is enough. *** ## āš ļø WILL THERE BE PSYCHEDELICS OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES AT THE EVENT? This is a **sober community gathering**. No illegal substances are sold, supplied, sourced, facilitated, or provided at our events. Conversation around psychedelics, personal experiences, research, history, consciousness, and integration is welcome, but please respect the law and the boundaries of others. *** ## ā˜” WHAT IF IT RAINS? If the weather makes the park unsuitable, our backup meeting place will be: **The Metropolitan Bar (JD Wetherspoon), near Baker Street Station** Any changes will be shared with registered attendees and through our WhatsApp community. *** ## šŸ“ WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE? Don’t worry. A **live location will be shared through our WhatsApp community** on the day so that anyone arriving later can find us in the park. *** ## šŸ“ø WILL THERE BE PHOTOGRAPHY? We may take **photos and short videos during our gatherings** to share on the London Psychedelic Community’s social media pages and event platforms. By attending, you acknowledge that photography and filming may take place and are happy to be included. If you **would prefer not to be photographed or filmed**, that is absolutely fine - simply speak to the host or a member of the team when you arrive and we will respect your wishes. We want everyone to feel comfortable and able to enjoy the gathering. *** ## šŸ¤ COMMUNITY ETHOS At the heart of our community are: **connection, curiosity, open-minded dialogue, mutual respect, personal responsibility, and genuine human interaction.** People may approach psychedelics, consciousness, spirituality, religion, philosophy, psychology, science, and the mysteries of existence from very different perspectives. You do not need to agree with everyone. We simply ask that you engage respectfully, listen with an open mind, respect personal boundaries, and allow others the same freedom to explore ideas and perspectives that you would want for yourself. *** ## 🌿 COME AS YOU ARE > **ā€œCome, come, whoever you areā€¦ā€** > Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving — it doesn’t matter. > Ours is not a caravan of despair. > Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. > **Come, yet again, come, come.** > — *Attributed to Rumi* Come as you are. Relax, connect, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in nature. **See you there ✨** ā˜®ļø **Peace, love and blessings** ā˜®ļø #london #psychedelic #community

Frequently asked questions

Meetup connects people with shared interests through local or online events. You can discover groups in your community and participate in activities that interest you, like community gardening.

Community garden meetups are groups where gardening enthusiasts meet to cultivate green spaces together, share knowledge, and enjoy the outdoors. It's a chance to learn, collaborate, and connect.

You can search for gardening groups on Meetup by selecting your location as London and choosing gardening as your interest. This will show you available events and meetups nearby.

Yes, you can join as many groups as you like! Meetup allows you to participate in various communities, so feel free to join multiple gardening groups and explore different gardening experiences across London.

You are not required to attend every event. Meetup is flexible, allowing you to join activities that fit your schedule. Enjoy gardening meetups when you have time without commitment pressure.

Absolutely! Many community gardening events welcome beginners. These meetups offer a friendly place to learn gardening basics from more experienced members while enjoying the social aspect.

Having landscaping or gardening skills can be beneficial, but they are not necessary. Community garden meetups are inclusive to all skill levels, inviting novices and seasoned gardeners alike.

It's best to check with the meeting organizer. In some meetups, bringing your own seeds or plants is encouraged, while others may have plans to provide all materials needed for the event.

Meetup itself does not organize events. It provides the platform for group organizers to arrange their own events, so the quality and frequency depend on the hosts in the London community.

This varies by meetup. Some may offer family-friendly events, while others might be adults-only. Read the event description or contact the organizer to confirm if children are welcome.

While many meetups are free, some may have fees for materials or venue booking. Review the event details on Meetup for any costs and what they include before RSVPing.

While engaging with people through activities increases your chances of meeting like-minded individuals, it may take time. Participate actively to enhance your community experience.

Not all interests have active groups in every location. In London, availability of community gardens depends on existing groups and events scheduled by organizers in different areas.

Meetup focuses on group activities, not one-on-one coaching. However, by joining groups, you might find members who can offer advice and guidance in a community setting.

Event frequency can vary depending on the organizer and group size. Some groups may meet frequently, while others schedule events less often due to availability or seasonality.
