Taking the Mask Off: Thursday Night Men’s Group We are a group of men that meet regularly to build deeper connection, personal growth, accountability, and integrity. If you’re looking for more than surface-level conversations and want a place to connect with other men while learning more about yourself, this might be the group for you. This is a place where all of you is welcome, the parts of your life that are going well and the parts that aren’t. You can bring your wins, struggles, anger, fear, grief, the questions you have, relationships, leadership, or your desire for greater mission and purpose in life, or whatever is showing up. Our meetings include a short opening, a few discussion rounds, and an opportunity to experience some of the tools we use in men’s work. You can participate as much or as little as you choose. You do not need any previous experience with men’s groups or personal development. This is not therapy, and you do not need to be in some sort of crisis to attend. Some men come because something in their life needs to change. Others are doing well and are looking for more mission and purpose, connection, accountability, self-discovery, and growth. All men 18 and older are welcome. Participation is voluntary, and confidentiality is paramount. This is a structured group so punctuality important. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.

Saturday Ruck + Coffee for Men 40+

**We're getting a small group of men 40 plus together for a relaxed Saturday Ruck and coffee.** Nothing intense. We'll walk about two to three miles at an easy conversational pace. Bring a backpack if you want- add a little weight, add none at all, nobody cares. The point is simple; move around, meet some good guys, probably look a little ridiculous at some point, then grab coffee afterward. A lot of men hit their 40s and 50s and realize they don't really have a tribe anymore. Friends moved away, careers took over, family's got busy, and somewhere along the line the social side of life got smaller. This is about changing that. No networking. No therapy. No seminar. No sales pitch. Just good guys who want to stay active, meet people, and do more with the next chapter of Life. **Plan:** Meet at 9:00 a.m. Start walking a few minutes after that Ruck/walk about 45 to 60 minutes Coffee immediately afterward. We'll all walk over together. Come alone if you like. Most people probably will. You do not need to be in great shape. If you can comfortably walk for an hour, you're good.

CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!

Join us at this CMG Gives Back volunteer event as we get together to help those in need by serving brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking and available in the surrounding area. Please see links / attachments for additional info / details. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. Join us for an Oscar Watch film as we get together to see the satirical-dark-comedy, DIGGER! The film is written/directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and stars Tom Cruise as the world’s most powerful man as he tries to save the world from the disaster he created. COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)

Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
