Chronic pain support group

Sun, Sep 13, 9:00 AM
From London Chronic pain support group

We meet up, drink far too many teas and coffees and talk about our own experiences of living with chronic pain and injury. We share coping mechanisms, funny stories and do our best to support one another. We are not medically trained and do not offer medical advice, we simply share how we have tried to deal with our own issues. We come from all walks of life and do not turn anyone away nor do we ask someone to share if they don’t want to, we just want to offer a bit of help to those who are in pain.

Balancers Community Volunteering - Clothing Distribution

From Balancers - Expand Your Circle
4.4

Hi Balancers, We believe community is about more than meeting new people. It's also about showing up for those who need support. As part of our ongoing partnership with Refugee Community Kitchen, we're inviting you to join us for a different kind of volunteering session. This time, we’re joining **Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK)** at their Goodge Street service to provide essential clothing to people who need it. 👕 **HOW IT WORKS** We’ll meet at **6:00 PM in front of the Dominion Theatre**. From there, we’ll cross the road to Primark and split into small groups. Each group will be given a few essential clothing items to find and buy. Once we’re done, we’ll walk about **5 minutes to Goodge Street**, join the RCK service and distribute the clothing while their team serves food. 💷 **CHIPPING IN** We’ll collect contributions from the group and use the full amount to buy the clothing that evening. If you can, **bring some cash** — but there’s absolutely no pressure to contribute much. Even **£1 helps**, and you’re just as welcome to volunteer regardless of how much you contribute. 💬 **Join our Volunteer WhatsApp group for updates and coordination:** [https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hzm7P7Tr0QD92MnwmpHTVK?s=cl&p=a&ilr=1](https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hzm7P7Tr0QD92MnwmpHTVK?s=cl&p=a&ilr=1) 🤝 **NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED** We’ll explain everything on the day. Just bring yourself and be ready to help. **Good to know:** 📍 Meet: In front of the Dominion Theatre ⏰ 6:00 PM 👕 Primark is directly across the road 🚶 Goodge Street is around 5 minutes away As always, Respect, Kindness and Authenticity come first. We’re there to support people with dignity and without judgment. Let’s keep showing what our community can do when we act with heart. See you there 💛

Private Substance Misuse Support Group

Thu, Aug 27, 6:30 PM
From London Overcoming Addictions Meetup

This group is a private substance misuse support group, for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship with drugs/alcohol. The group is facilitated by a trained and qualified Janus worker. This group is designed to offer support, encouragement and to provide a forum, that allows you to make informed choices. The objective of this group is to liberate you from the labels of addiction, dependency, illness sickness and "disease", replacing them with the more proactive terminology of choice, responsibility, self control and decision making. Janus does not use the 12 step model. It uses the Janus approach to working with substance use called "The Resonance Factor" http://bit.ly/Resonance_blog Hopefully you will find these groups informative, innovative and creative. Before entering this group could you contact CHRISTOPHER ROBIN on 07515663621 to discuss the finer details regarding payment and room number in the venue etc.
