Sunday Meditation | Community Building | Connection | Meet New People

**Who We are..... 🤝** Our journey to bring people together began in January of 2022. The group was started with a simple intention to gather and meet some likeminded people - connecting through the powerful act of meditation and sharing our genuine selves while sitting in a circle that represents equality, harmony and wholeness( *we believe everyone in the circle is a teacher and a student at the same time)*. And over the last 4 years of consistently coming together, we have fostered a beautiful, loving, dependable community where members from all walks of life have experienced a sacred space to sit in silence together and meditate, share their authentic selves, give presence to others and forge meaningful and long lasting connections. The Meditations are guided by Sana(co-founder and host), who is a Trained and certified meditation teacher by the Meditation Association of Australia, and has been guiding meditations for 3+ years in corporate and community settings. ✨ **Do you wish to....** * Experience a simple yet powerful meditation and breathing practice to find calm, relaxation and clarity * Connect with like-minded people in your local community and foster meaningful connections * Meet others who are passionate about growing, uplifting themselves, and supporting others * Share insights from your personal journey (or simply listen and learn) Or maybe you just want to... ☮️ **Spend your Sunday evening in a peaceful, zen space and meet new people? Bring a friend (or two!) and let’s connect.** **What’s on the evening’s flow?** * **Open meet & greet** – connect and settle in * **5 min guided meditation** to land into the space and connect within * **Sharing circle** (totally optional!) – share your thoughts or simply listen * **20-30 min guided meditation** – for relaxation and deeper connection **Where?** 📍 **250 George St, Fitzroy VIC 3065** Enter through the church gates. You’ll see a small garden on the left and stairs on the right leading up to the **Dance of Life Yoga Studio (first door on your right upstairs).** **What to bring?** * **Donation:** A contribution of **$15 or more is recommended**. Your donations directly help us cover venue, meetup membership and other costs, provide valuable resources, and keep this meditation community alive and growing. * **Warm jumper/jacket** (just in case!) * **Water** * **Any books/resources/inspiration you’d love to share** **Important Notes:** * Spaces are **limited**, so if you can’t make it, please update your RSVP to “Not going” or send us a quick message. * **No-show policy:** To keep it fair for everyone, repeat no-shows without notice may not be able to RSVP in the future. * Attendees under 18 must have a guardian present. **Everyone is welcome!** All ages (with guardians for under 18), backgrounds, genders, and experiences – no meditation experience needed. The event runs for about **2.5 hours**, but you’re free to come and go as you need.

Board Game Night at Boyd Community Hub

Board Game Night at Boyd Community Hub

Tue, May 26, 8:45 AM
From Melbourne Social
5.0

Come along for a casual board game night in the Principal’s Office room at Boyd Community Hub. I’ve booked the room from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, and we’ll meet outside the venue first at 6:45pm so everyone can find the group before we head in together. This will be a small, relaxed meetup with a maximum of 10 people. I’ll bring a mix of social, party, strategy, and light games, including: Camel Up, Catan, Codenames, Decrypto, Dixit Odyssey, Wavelength, UNO Show ’Em No Mercy, and Chess. We’ll decide what to play depending on the group size and what people feel like on the night. You don’t need to know the rules beforehand — we can explain games as we go. This is more of a relaxed social board game night than a serious competitive session. It’s totally fine if you’re new to board games, coming solo, or only know a few simple games. **Who this is for** This event is good for: * People who enjoy casual board games * Beginners and occasional players * Solo attendees who want a relaxed social evening * Anyone happy with a small-group, low-pressure vibe **Links** Meetup start point: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/7JLM3q6tyn7fepBi8](https://maps.app.goo.gl/7JLM3q6tyn7fepBi8) **Timeline** * 6:45pm – Meet outside Boyd Community Hub * 7:00pm – Head into the Principal’s Office room * 7:00pm–7:15pm – Quick introductions and choose games * 7:15pm–9:45pm – Play board games * 9:45pm–10:00pm – Pack up and return the room setup * 10:00pm – Meetup ends **Tickets / cost** No ticket required. I’ve booked the room and will cover the room hire cost, so there is no cost for attendees. Please only RSVP if you genuinely plan to attend, as the room has a small capacity. **Transport** Boyd Community Hub is in Southbank, near City Road. Please check your own public transport route before coming, especially for the trip home after 10:00pm. **Bring** * Water bottle * Any beginner-friendly board/card game you’d like to bring (optional) * A relaxed attitude — we’ll choose games based on the group **Expect** * Group size: maximum 10 people * Vibe: relaxed, social, beginner-friendly * Game style: casual, mixed experience levels * Can leave early: yes, but please message or update your RSVP if your plans change **Important notes** The room is booked from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, so we’ll meet outside at 6:45pm and enter the room at 7:00pm. Please be respectful of the venue and help keep the room tidy. We’ll need to pack up and leave the room by 10:00pm. Because this is a small-room booking, please update your RSVP if you can’t make it.
