This network was completely abandoned but has since been rehabilitated. It is mainly composed of ponds, channels and bridges. Then we will end our hike with a visit to Hangar Y, another abandoned and rehabilitated site. The route may include: 🌄 Scenic sandstone viewpoints 🌲 Forest trails 🪨 Rock formations 🏘️ Views over Jetřichovice 🍁 Autumn landscapes 📸 Photography stops We'll take regular breaks throughout the day to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, socialize and simply appreciate the surroundings. Depending on the selected route and seasonal accessibility, the itinerary may also incorporate sections around **Pravčická Brána** and/or the Kamenice Gorge. The Kamenice Gorge offers a particularly atmospheric experience, with narrow sandstone walls, forest vegetation and a traditional boat journey through the gorge. After completing the day's adventure, return to the accommodation. Enjoy a warm meal, relax in the lounge and spend the evening with fellow travelers. **🏡 DAY 3 (SUNDAY, 27 SEPTEMBER) - LOCAL DISCOVERY → CZECH TREATS → RETURN HOME** Wake up to a peaceful autumn morning in Jetřichovice. De Lizy-sur-Ourcq à Crouy-sur-Ourcq par le canal et les coteaux de Vendrest
Sun, Sep 13, 7:00 AM**Déroulé** Pour continuer sur notre lancée de rentrée (si j'ose dire !), je vous propose une balade aux confins Nord de la Seine-et-Marne, limite Oise, en grande partie le long du canal de l'Ourcq, entre Lizy-sur-Ourcq et Crouy-sur-Ourcq. Pour celles et ceux qui avaient déjà participé à une balade que j'avais organisée entre Lizy et Crouy le 24 août 2025, ce n'est pas le même trajet (sauf le début et la fin), il y aura cette fois un peu plus de campagne. Au programme : « vous serez séduit par le caractère préservé tant des marais et tourbières de la vallée de l'Ourcq, que du patrimoine architectural de Crouy » (dixit mon TOPO Guide Randonnées en Seine-et-Marne de gare en gare !) Pas de difficulté particulière, c'est relativement plat avec un peu de montée et de descente dans la partie centrale s'éloignant du canal. Prévoir un équipement de randonnée adapté à la météo du jour et surtout de bonnes chaussures de marche auxquelles vous êtes habitués. Munissez-vous également d'eau, pas de ravitaillement possible et d'un pique-nique ! **Départ** Rendez-vous à la gare de Lizy-sur-Ourcq à 10h15. Pour les Parisiens, c'est Ligne P Gare de L'Est 9h37 FYMO dir. La Ferté-Milon. Pour ma part, je prendrai probablement ce train à Meaux à 10h02 Le prix du trajet est inclus dans le pass Navigo. Once we are done, we are off to explore Rovaniemi and surroundings followed by dinner and then we are off Northern lights hunting. **Day 3 - Roadtrip Finnish Lapland + Northern lights hunting** Post checkout, we drive from Rovaniemi to Karigasniemi one of Northern Europe’s most iconic Arctic road trips, covering roughly 450 km (280 miles) of shifting boreal forests, open fells, and Sámi heartland. **Day 4 - Roadtrip to Northcape + Northern Lights hunting** Post breakfast, we are off on a road trip to North cape. During the road trip we would be making a few stops along the way to see some of the cute fishing villages. At the north cape, we checkout the museum and the amazing views offered from the visitor centre. On the way back, we stop for dinner in a town along the way and then post dinner we are off Northern hunting on the way back to Finland. **Day 5 - Roadtrip to Rovaniemi + Northern lights hunting** Journeying along Finland’s western corridor shifts the landscape from open frontier tundra into vast taiga forests and alpine fell country. Experience the transition from raw, open Arctic tundra near the Norwegian border into the tall pine forests and round-topped fells (tunturi) of western Lapland. The stretch passing through Pokka offers some of the quietest driving in Europe, giving you a sense of solitude surrounded by untouched wilderness. **Day 6 - Goodbye & See you in a future trip** Check out of the accommodation and head to the airport and say our goodbyes before heading back to our respective homes.
