Sponsored by the South Mountain Conserancy with the support of Essex County Parks, this award-winning program caters to families with young children ages 4 to 11. With nature-intensive programing, this overnight program provides an opportunity for families new to camping or just in love with nature to experience a special experience close. Autumn Camping at Stokes State Forest

We'll spend the day checking out everything from historic aircraft and helicopters to spacecraft and interactive exhibits, with plenty to see even if you're not an aviation buff. We'll also catch one of the planetarium's immersive shows, taking us beyond the museum and into space with a full-dome experience. We'll also visit the Nassau County Firefighters Museum, located right next door. The museum takes you through the history of firefighting with historic fire trucks, equipment, uniforms, and stories of the men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect their communities. It's a surprisingly interesting look at how firefighting has evolved over the years and a nice change of pace from the aviation exhibits. It's a great option for a day when the weather isn't cooperating and a fun chance to explore something completely different. After, we'll grab a meal together and relax before heading back to the city. We will meet in the city and travel together (transportation provided). 12th Annual Adirondack High Peaks | 4 Nights @ Wilderness Campground

Join us for some strenuous, exhilarating all-day hikes in the Adirondack High Peaks region. **One spot available! (8/14)** We’ll stay at Wildnerness Campground at Adirondack Loj, located on Heart Lake, with hike-out access to multiple high peaks including Mt. Marcy. It is a 15 minute drive from Lake Placid. In addition to hiking we will also enjoy swimming, kayaking, hot breakfasts at the Loj, a welcome BBQ, group dinners, campfires, live music and exploring Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We have 4 sites reserved in the Wilderness Campground, near the washrooms. Each site sleeps 6 people in 3 tents, for up to **24 people total**. Parking is included for 2 cars per site.
