We're kidnapping the werewolf crew for a different kind of event this time! Berlin's finest, edgiest comedians are coming together to tell us what crazy world we’d live in if they ruled it. And because a mic alone wasn't enough, they are presenting their new world order with laser pointers and a slideshow. This is an absolute premiere, and the lineup is pure gold! Our host: Brendan Hickey has basically shaped the Berlin comedy scene through his Epic Comedy club. There’s nobody better suited to host "All Jokes A Slide." The comedians: Maxim Kremer doesn't just entertain his massive Instagram following with his stoic, hilarious persona. His slides will crack us up too. Žana Fejzić is the lady of the bunch, but don't be deceived. She'll lure you in with her charm, then go for the kill, one slide at a time. Dayne Brasher brings his Australian charm alongside a vibe that might remind you of The Dude, or at the very least, make you laugh like a little girl. Come join us for a hilarious night. With or without you, this is going to be one to remember. This event is free, kindly sponsored by AI presentation maker Gamma, but please grab your ticket on Eventbrite anyway: https://www.eventbrite.de/e/all-jokes-a-slide-tickets-2001883949783?aff=oddtdtcreator And get there early, doors open at 7pm and the first 30 visitors score some Gamma swag: stylish tote bags for free. Plus, you'll want a good spot before the room fills up, because once it's full, it's full. You'll be asked a werewolf question at signup, feel free to be creative and make the regular werewolf organizers laugh ;)

The Java User Group Berlin-Brandenburg and our partner [codecentric](https://www.codecentric.de/) invite you to the talk **A Java 8 lambda and JobRunr is all you need for distributed (batch) processing!** by Ronald Dehuysser on **October the 7th, 2026**. **A Java 8 lambda and JobRunr is all you need for distributed (batch) processing!** (Ronald Dehuysser): Are you struggling with CPU-intensive tasks, high I/O work, or do you need to schedule background jobs without blocking the rest of your system? I often see teams building a scheduling solution themselves, severely underestimating the complexity of running jobs asynchronously. A costly endeavour, especially with a simple, free and open-source solution readily available. Find out more at https://jug-berlin-brandenburg.de/blog/2026/jobrunner/
