Welcome to Improv: A Drop-In Improv Class w/ TBC Improv Spain

**Overview** Ready to build confidence, think on your feet, and have a lot of fun doing it? This is a fun and inclusive event where absolutely all are welcome. We will learn the basics of improv, play some exercises and games, and laugh a LOT. Over 2 hours you’ll learn how to create spontaneous moments, collaborate with others and tell stories in the moment. ## Resumen ¿Listo/a para ganar confianza, pensar con rapidez y divertirte muchísimo haciéndolo? Este es un evento divertido e inclusivo donde absolutamente todo el mundo es bienvenido. També tindràs un **bolígraf i un full** exclusiu per a tu, on podràs escriure els noms de les teves cites i els teus comentaris personals. Al full hi podrà haver el número o la lletra de la taula on hauràs de començar l'activitat. Ves a la zona d'espera indicada pels organitzadors. Al final de l'esdeveniment és **molt important** escanejar el **primer QR** del teu full per emplenar el formulari amb: * nom * número de telèfon * Instagram * correu electrònic * **els tres noms** de les persones que més t'han agradat *(És una bona idea escriure tots els noms durant les cites i, al final, ratllar-los tots excepte els 3 que més t'hagin agradat.)* En aquest formulari també pots deixar-nos els teus comentaris per ajudar-nos a millorar l'esdeveniment. Mentre esperes, pots demanar una beguda, anar al lavabo i relaxar-te a la zona indicada. Demanem a les noies que arribin **15 minuts abans** per poder asseure-les abans que arribin els nois. Generalment organitzem dos o tres grups per franges d'edat, depenent del nombre de participants. Durant les rondes, un cambrer passarà per si necessiteu demanar alguna cosa. *** ### Activitat per trencar el gel Depenent del dia, fem una activitat per trencar el gel que consisteix a respondre una sèrie de preguntes en grup. Aquestes preguntes serveixen per conèixer una mica millor les diferents persones abans de començar les rondes de speed dating. ### Inici de les rondes Cada participant té una minicita de **7 minuts** amb una altra persona. A la taula trobaràs preguntes per trencar el gel que podràs utilitzar, si vols, per començar una bona conversa. ### Rotació Quan l'amfitrió doni el senyal (campana o gong), **els nois es mouen** a la taula següent. La rotació segueix sempre l'ordre dels números o les lletres que trobaràs a les diferents taules: A, B, C, D, E, F... o 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... Quan s'arriba a l'última lletra, es torna a la primera. El mateix s'aplica als números. Els nois disposen de 30 segons per aixecar-se, canviar de taula i prendre notes; les noies romanen assegudes. ### Pausa No hi ha una pausa general, però si vols descansar durant una ronda de 7 minuts, pots demanar a l'amfitrió saltar-te una ronda per demanar una beguda o menjar, anar al lavabo o simplement relaxar-te. ### Final de les rondes En acabar, normalment ens reunim per prendre alguna cosa. Així pots continuar parlant amb la resta de participants i prendre la teva decisió final. ### Emplenar el full Indica els noms d'un **màxim de 3 persones** que t'agradaria tornar a veure. Escaneja el **primer QR** i emplena el formulari. Podríem permetre votar més persones, però aquí realment **busquem que hi hagi una espurna de veritat**, i per això el límit és d'un màxim de 3 noms. Teniu fins **dilluns a les 18 h** per votar. ### Resultats El **dimarts al matí**, l'organitzador enviarà els **matches mutus** de manera privada mitjançant un missatge de Meetup o per correu electrònic. Si us plau, reviseu també la carpeta de correu brossa (spam). Si tens un match, rebràs la **informació de contacte** d'aquesta persona. *** # Normes importants * És fonamental que al teu perfil hi tinguis **una foto clara de tu**. Durante las rondas, un camarero pasará por si necesitáis pedir algo. *** ### **Actividad para romper el hielo** Dependiendo del día, hacemos una actividad para romper el hielo que consiste en contestar una serie de preguntas por grupos que sirven para conocer un poco más las diferentes personas antes de empezar las rondas de speed dating. ### **Inicio de rondas** Cada participante tiene una mini-cita de **7 minutos** con otra persona. Podrás encontrar preguntas para romper el hielo en la mesa que podrás usar si tu deseas para empezar una buena conversación. ### **Rotación** A la señal del anfitrión (campana o gong), **los chicos se mueven** a la siguiente mesa. La rotación es siempre siguiendo el orden de los números o letras que se encontrarán en las diferentes mesas: A,B,C,D,E,F... 1,2,3,4,5,6.... Al llegar a la última letra, se irá hacía la primera. Lo mismo aplica con los números. Los chicos se levantan 30 segundos para tomar notas; las chicas permanecen sentadas. ### **Pausa** No hay pausa general, pero si quieres descansar una ronda de 7 minutos, puedes pedir al anfitrión saltarte una ronda para pedir bebida, comida, ir al baño o relajarte en el jardín. ### **Fin de rondas** Al terminar, normalmente nos reunimos en el jardín para tomar algo. Así puedes seguir hablando y tomar tu decisión final. ### **Rellenar la hoja** Indica los nombres de **máximo 3 personas** que te gustaría volver a ver. Escanea el **primer QR** y rellena el formulario. Podríamos ampliar a más nombres pero aquí realmente **estamos buscando la chispa real**, por eso el límite es de 3 nombres máximo a votar. Tenéis hasta el lunes a las 18h para votar. ### **Resultados** El **martes por la mañana**, el organizador enviará los **matches mutuos** de forma privada por mensaje de Meetup o correo, por favor revisar la bandeja de SPAM. Si tienes un match, recibirás la **información de contacto** de esa persona. *** # **Normas importantes** * Es fundamental que en tu perfil tengas **una foto clara de ti**. Si no tienes foto, te moveremos a la lista de espera. * Aunque veas lista de espera, apúntate igualmente: ajustamos para mantener **equilibrio chicos/chicas**. * Si te inscribes y pagas pero no puedes venir, debes informarnos **48 horas antes del evento**. En caso contrario, no habrá reembolso ni cambio de fecha. * Debes respetar el código de conducta estándar y la educación con todo el mundo. La organización se reserva el derecho de expulsar del evento inmediatamente a quién esté incumpliendo las normas. Si algún participante detecta algún comportamiento sospechoso de otro, por favor, que informe en seguida a alguno de los organizadores. *** ## **Para mayores de 30 años:** Al apuntarte al evento aceptas aparecer en fotos que podrían publicarse. Writing Quick and Dirty

This meetup is for anyone—anyone at all—who enjoys playing around with words. You’ll be given a prompt (usually one word, such as “playground” or “shiver”) and time to express yourself in writing in response to it. Anything goes: prose, poetry, lists, letters, lyrics; any form which calls to you and demands expression. After we have finished writing, you will be invited to share your piece with the group (totally optional, but the feedback can be fun). The feedback (this is the only part with rules): Responses should be in the form of what stayed with you, what you remembered from the piece, what resonated with you. This is NOT a writing or craft class; there is no good or bad here. Critiques or suggestions miss the point. This is new, tender writing, and we honor it as such. All writing is considered fictional. This is liberating for the writer, as you are free to write about literally anything and it will never be considered to be “about you.” The first person is always just a character. Please bring your own writing equipment. It is helpful to come on time so you can hear the prompt and have enough time to write. Please buy a drink or snack from Charcha, our generous host.

Join us for a great afternoon full of fun games involving acting, improvisation, and theater! No experience or acting skills required. All you need is imagination! Anyone who is interested in trying something new is welcome. It's also a great way to meet people, or to practice your English. After the event we usually go for drinks and/or dinner together. **What do we do in this event?** We will play all sorts of games that involve acting and improvisation. Many of them you might know from the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". This is just to help recover some of the expenses of the meetup account. We're hosting this event only for fun and we do not intend to make any money out of it. You can pay in cash or by Bizum when you arrive at the event. **In what language will this event be?** All games will be played in English. Of course, we do not expect you to speak perfect English, but without a basic level of English it will be hard to participate (if you're not sure about your level of English, just come along and try). **Can I come to just watch?** Sure! If you don't want to participate, or if you're not sure yet, then you're welcome to just come along and watch. **What do I need to bring or wear?** You don't need to bring or wear anything special. However, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily. **Do I need to prepare anything?** Nope! The whole point of improvisation is that you can't prepare anything :) **If I want to join, do I need to sign up?** Yes, please! Even if there are more than enough places, it is very important that you still sign up for this event. This is for two reasons: 1\. If not enough people sign up then we may have to cancel the event\. 2\. The more people sign up\, the more attractive this event becomes for other people to also sign up\. Anyway, if you forget to sign up you're still more than welcome to join :) **Where do we meet?** We meet in the Parc de la Ciutadella. If you're coming from the Arc de Triomf and enter the park, turn left directly after the entrance. You will see a big industrial art piece (see photos). Keep walking until you passed it. We meet right behind this art piece. When we arrive at the meeting point we usually upload a selfie to the photos section of this event, so you can recognize us. We also usually bring a small A4-sized meetup sign. **What happens if it rains?** In case of rain we will move the event to the Mercat Sant Antoni, where we can play under a roof. In that case, please keep an eye on the comments section of this event for further details. **Can I suggest some games to play?** Sure! If you know any fun games that are related to improv theater and that you would like to play, just let the organizers know before the start of the event. We're always happy to receive input from the participants. **Do you have a Whatsapp group to stay in contact after the event?** Yes, we do! If you want to join our group, please ask the organizers to add you, before or after the event.
