If you have just bought your home or just never get round to finishing those niggling projects in your home and don’t want to rely on someone else this is a great opportunity to skill up and build the groundwork knowledge, or perhaps you just want to learn life skills. This workshop is the place to start. This course is created to add to any homeowner’s proficiency and sense of self-sufficiency. Do you wish to copy a beloved piece of clothing? Would you like to learn how to adjust your own pattern to fit just you? Learn how to take body measurements, read and alter a commercial pattern to fit, lay out and cut fabric and construct a finished garment to a high standard using one of our Janome 525s or Bernina 1008 series sewing machines. During the sessions of this small group of learners you will gain confidence and improve any sewing skills you already have. If you have never used a machine, we can guide you through making a simple garment from a purchased pattern. Bring your own pattern or use one of our small selection. If you have sewing experience but want to start creating your own patterns, you can learn how to create a bespoke piece of clothing. You can also bring a piece of clothing to alter or fix. We supply the basics and the calico you will use to make a ‘toile’ (an inexpensive mock up) to save you ruining your chosen final fabric. Along the way, talented tutor and seamstress will teach you lots of techniques and tips to ramp up your sewing passion. Understanding these influences is the first step towards creating a more fulfilling future. Through the Constellation process, we will address and heal painful imprints from the past in a small and intimate group. This powerful method allows participants to gain insights and release emotional burdens, paving the way for personal transformation and a brighter future. Such forces are often appearing as difficulties or a sense of being ‘stuck’ in life, affecting our behaviour, relationships, career, health/wellbeing, or even financial circumstances. This method provides a three-dimensional ‘map’ of one’s life as it is at present. It is a simple yet powerful way to explore entanglements and blockages in our personal life and our family history. The method brings awareness and clarity into personal challenges by focusing the client on the root cause of such difficulties. Constellations provide an opening for a positive life shift and present ways for deep healing processes to occur. **What Happens in the Constellation Process?** The method uses workshop participants as ‘Representatives’ to stand in for key people in the client’s life such as family members, colleagues, partners, ex-partners, etc., sometimes ‘abstract’ concepts such as an emotion, country of origin, religion, or destiny are also represented. All participants are invited to take part as Representatives. It means that some of our behaviour patterns can be attributed to traumatic events in our family history. He has completed a MSc in Medical Anthropology at University College London where he specialised in research on the phenomenology of consciousness, psychedelics and the therapeutic and healing arts across the world. Callum is a Trauma-Informed Body-Worker and Somatic Therapist whose training includes Somatic Muscle Release, Somatic Alignment, Myofascial Release, Advanced Deep tissue Massage, Breathwork and the Shamanic arts. Callum is passionate about the innate wisdom and intelligence of the body to both find equanimity and balance but also explore ecstatic and altered states of consciousness. He is a passionate advocate of somatic and psychedelic experiences that are grounded in transpersonal philosophy and psychology. These are the experiences that cultivate the experience and wisdom to remember and embody deeper connection with ourselves, others, nature and the beyond.
