Join us for a special She Sees Art outing combining a little indulgence at **Lune Croissanterie** with a visit to the **Sydney Rare Book Fair** at the State Library of NSW! We'll start by grabbing coffee and croissants at Lune before heading to the fair as it opens. Lune is a standing-room-only shop, so our coffee stop will be casual before making our way to the State Library. **Sculpture by the Sea—--where art meets the ocean.** Each year, the iconic Bondi to Tamarama coastal trail is transformed by remarkable sculptures, created by talented Australian and international artists. Together, let's immerse ourselves in one of Australia's most celebrated outdoor art exhibitions, framed by breathtaking ocean views and fresh sea air. Step into a calm, welcoming space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself through colour and creative expression. This is a gentle, guided painting experience designed to support emotional release, relaxation, and creative flow—no art experience needed. You don’t need to be “good at art.” You just need to come as you are. Through intuitive painting and reflective creative exercises, you’ll be invited to explore your inner world in a safe and supportive environment. This is a space to let go of pressure, quiet the mind, and reconnect with your natural creativity. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, creatively blocked, or simply needing time to rest and reset, this workshop offers a pause from everyday life and a return to yourself. You’ll be gently guided by **Louisa Chan**, an artist and art therapist who integrates creativity, emotional wellbeing, and healing practices into her work. Greenwich Art Trail

One of Sydney’s surprises is that there are so many unknown gems. And **Greenwich** — the hidden gem of an artists’ hub — is one of them. It is not only stunning with its beautiful water views, it is also amazingly charming with its artistic vibe. It is a secret hub for award-winning contemporary artists, illustrators, sculptors, ceramicists, jewellers, photographers and textile artists. Just surprising, surprising and surprising — all happening in such a small community. I took our AAA Art Lovers there in 2023, and I am so thrilled to discover that the art trail is back on track. Can’t wait! The first week of November, the time when the jacarandas paint the streets purple, the time when the 38 artist's studios open their doors to welcome us. Headlands, Mosman — Another Hidden Gem

Alive yet remote, prestigious yet humble, dynamic yet quietly focused---HEADLANDS--- a place where the ocean meets art, where creativity breathes freely, and where purity and tranquillity exist side by side. Add the charm of a little French café, and somehow, it all comes together. I've been searching for the right date for this one, and finally--- here it is. And I've decided to break my own rule and run two events this time — Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps it's a small indulgence I'm willing to allow myself, a small sacrifice for the love of art, and for the joy of sharing these hidden corners with our art lovers. Some places are simply too beautiful to let slip away. And perhaps my heart is a little too tender when it comes to art. So here we are. This time, I won't reveal too much. Some things are better discovered than described. Let the artists speak to us through their work. Let us wander from studio to studio, discover what lies behind each door, pause for a coffee and a conversation, and eventually, make our way along the coastline ---the ocean beside us, and perhaps, a little more space made in our minds. We'll collect our Art Trail maps and enjoy coffee together **12:15 pm – Begin the Art Trail** Starting with Studio 1, then Studio 2, 3… and wherever our curiosity takes us. **2:30–3:30 pm – Afternoon Tea at Frenchy’s** A little pause, a little conversation, and perhaps a little reflection on what we have discovered. **3:30–4:45 pm – Sculptures & Coastal Walk** Wander among the sculptures before taking a short stroll along the coastline. **Dress code** Coastal casual with comfortable walking shoes. A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a light jacket are recommended. **🖼️ Drawing for Beginners – Sit Down and Sketch Along** Always wanted to draw? This beginner class starts at the time of this event and takes you from blank page to finished sketch in an hour. No art supplies to buy: any pencil and plain paper will do. You'll be drawing in **Faces**: portraits: where the features really go, and how to get a likeness. Every class ends with personal written feedback: upload a photo of your drawing and get specific tips on how to improve it. No experience needed. October Meetup for the Sydney Nature Journal Club

Come along to our **October meetup for the Sydney Nature Journal Club**. This is a chance to connect, spend some time in nature and journal together. I will offer some guidance to start. After we can share journal pages and ideas. **What to bring:** Bring along sketchbooks/paper and your favourite drawing materials (pens, pencils, watercolour, acrylic, anything you have). I will have extra materials on the day if you want to explore other mediums. \*\*Where:\*\* Botanical Gardens. By the bridge near the lotus pond, just past the cafe.
