Ramon Llull and the magic of Ars Combinatoria

Ramon Llull was was a medieval philosopher, theologian, poet, missionary and former knight, born in Palma de Mallorca. Amongst other things he developed a logical system that uses mechanical paper wheels, geometric shapes, and symbols to combine basic truths and generate all possible knowledge. This went on to inspire the Italian Renaissance philosopher, poet, alchemist, astronomer, cosmological theorist, and magician Giordano Bruno, and the polymath Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
