Sketch Hedge Coffee (Cafe Art Circle)

Cafe Sketching at Hedge Coffee in the SF Mission District. 📍 1:00pm meet inside. Look for us with sketchbooks. 🎨 Bring your own art supplies. Roam freely. Sketch what you see. ☕ Pull up a chair anytime to draw with us and talk art. 📓 2:45pm. We wrap things up with a show & tell throwdown. Hedge Coffee has high ceilings and a warehouse-like feel, and has DJs typically spinning every weekend during their "Coffee & Beats" / "Lose Yourself" residencies. Good mix of creative and hip. We explore coffee and tea shops around the Bay Area, using sketching as a way to experience the atmosphere of each place and its neighborhood. All skill levels welcome. Visio Divina -free Visual Meditation with Divine Feminine images

On the second Sunday of each month from 12-1:00 p.m. at herchurch, 678 Portola Dr. San Francisco, enjoy a free drop in meditative process. Visual Meditation (Visio Divina) at herchurch is a simple process of meditating with paintings of the divine feminine. The process can include journaling and asking for guidance. Katie Ketchum will be standing in the front doors of herchurch at noon to show you the downstairs Altar Art Gallery, or feel free to ask anyone for directions. The Visual Meditation is in silence and self-guided with instructions provided. You're welcome to come for any length you wish; this is a drop in hour, not a full one-hour meditation (unless you want it to be!)

Alcazar Theater

This eclectic Moorish/Byzantine building, commissioned by the Shriners as the *Islam Temple* was designed by architect [Thomas Patterson Ross](https://noehill.com/architects/ross.aspx). The June 1917 edition of *Architect and Engineer* noted that the temple was "an adaptation from Alhambra, a building that stands as the highest mark of Arabian art and civilization." The Islam Temple was used for Shriner meetings and ceremonies from 1918 to 1970. Later it functioned as a small theater in the tradition of the original Alcazar Theater which was located on O'Farrell Street. (The original Alcazar opened in 1885, was destroyed by the 1906 Earthquake and Fire, was rebuilt, and was razed for a parking lot in 1963.) Brind a chair, meet at 12:15/12:30 to share

Charcoal Drawing Classes Meet in Art Studio in SF

Thank you for visiting our group - Charcoal Drawing Class! We meet on Saturdays, 5:00-7:00pm, in my art studio located in San Francisco. All are welcome, whether you are a total beginner who want to explore, learn, or just have fun... or a more experienced artist who might want to freshen your techniques, pick up where you left off a while ago, or just enjoy the experience of drawing in a group setting and share the joy of creating art. My art studio is a place for kids M-F after school and we have day camps during school holidays. We have been in business since 2019. I have decided to include adult art classes on Saturdays and Sundays, and now we have oil painting classes 2-4:30pm, and drawing classes 5-7pm. On Sundays are have soft pastels drawing classes. We will draw still life. If there's a request for a live model, please let me know! It's a wonderful place for everyone to get together safely to have fun, learn, and bring home a beautiful piece of artwork that you have created! Art Journal Meetup

The Marin Art Journal Group is a casual gathering where you can create your own art, meet wonderful people, and have fun! We meet 2-3 times a month for a relaxing experience, exploring different art forms, learning from one another, and connecting as a community. Please bring your own supplies. If you don't have any, we can provide them for a $5 fee. We love supporting Double Rainbow and Autistry, so feel free to grab a cup of coffee, a sandwich, a delicious homemade pastry, and of course, ice cream!

East Bay Sketchers at Mountain View Cemetery

Continuing our annual tradition, let's meet at the Mountain View Cemetery on Sunday, Oct 18th. 5000 Piedmont Ave., Oakland. There are old tombstones, statues, and it is the resting place of notables like Julia Morgan and the Ghirardelli family. Let's meet by the fountain, right turn after the entrance.
