Sunday Coffee & Crafting

**Bring your own seat or picnic blanket as cafe seating is very limited!** Come join us for our bi-weekly Sunday Coffee & Crafting for some cafe fare and crafting social time! As always, all fiber artists are welcome. *** **About the location:** The Hidden Cafe is a cozy cafe located in the Strawberry Creek Park in Berkeley. On weekends they also host pop-up food options. **How to Get There:** BART: 10 minute walk from North Berkeley station Bus: 51B, 800 Car: Parking for Strawberry Creek Park is available, along with on-street parking nearby. Bike: For those north (in Albany or El Cerrito) you can also take the bike path directly to the park!

Mini Mill Class @ Ace

This class will cover the basics of using the small CNC milling machine at Ace. Each student will be given a part to fabricate, and will learn mounting, locating edges, using a fly cutter, drilling, pocketing and chamfering. Participants can take their piece with them and finish fabricating it in the shop at a later time. Note that we will be using the Mach 3 software to control the mill directly rather than a generated file. Thursday Casual Clay Night

Looking to get your hands dirty on a Thursday night with some pottery? Pre-register and bring your friends for our Casual Clay evening. Acceptable from beginners that just want to try working with clay to more experienced potters wanting to hand build. Email clay@stickyartlab.com to register. Tote Bag Sewing Workshop @ Ace Makerspace

Add a little pep to your schlep! Make a fabulous tote bag while exploring beginner sewing skills in this hands-on workshop! Our knowledgeable instructor will guide you through the whole process from cutting fabric, to using a sewing machine, to basic construction, and more. **Level:** Beginner **Timing:** 4 hours **Location:** Room #206 Textiles Studio **Certification:** None **Age:** 14+ (with adult accompaniment) This class is great for beginners or those who want to continue expanding their sewing project repertoire. In this class, we will cover: * Practice using a sewing machine * Quick and safe cutting with a rotary cutter * Basic construction * How to box corners * How to put in a lining * All the fabric and supplies are provided. Small Woodworking Tools Demo Night @ Ace Makerspace

What the heck is that tool and how does it work? In this beginner class you’ll learn about a variety of smaller hand-held tools commonly used in woodworking through a series of demonstrations. Is there a tool you’re curious about?
