Bring your latest craft project and settle in with fellow makers and tea lovers for a relaxed, welcoming gathering. Whether you enjoy knitting, crocheting, beading, drawing, sketching, calligraphy or another creative endeavor — any *portable* project is welcome. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated tea flight to be served throughout the evening, always including a soothing caffeine-free herbal option. ***Come sip, craft, and connect ✨*** \*\*Feel free to bring your own dinner, just be sure to clean up after yourself. Looking to get your hands dirty on a Thursday night with some pottery? Pre-register and bring your friends for our Casual Clay evening. Weave Your Own Ribs Style Foraging Basket (Berkeley)

We’ll begin with an introduction to gourds: what they are, how they grow, and how they’ve been traditionally used for vessels, tools, and art. Before any weaving begins, we’ll scrub and clean our gourds together, connecting to the full process from raw material to finished piece. Participants will then learn the basics of pine needle weaving and how to use it to embellish and transform a gourd. Stitchy Witchy: herchurch’s fiber arts club

Join us for an afternoon of working on your fiber projects. Knit, crochet, weaving, spinning, what have you! Rather than a class, this is intended to be a group of folks working on projects together, though of course we’ll help each other out! But there won’t be any formal instruction in our sessions. Tote Bag Sewing Workshop @ Ace Makerspace

Add a little pep to your schlep! Make a fabulous tote bag while exploring beginner sewing skills in this hands-on workshop! Our knowledgeable instructor will guide you through the whole process from cutting fabric, to using a sewing machine, to basic construction, and more. **Level:** Beginner **Timing:** 4 hours **Location:** Room #206 Textiles Studio **Certification:** None **Age:** 14+ (with adult accompaniment) This class is great for beginners or those who want to continue expanding their sewing project repertoire. In this class, we will cover: * Practice using a sewing machine * Quick and safe cutting with a rotary cutter * Basic construction * How to box corners * How to put in a lining * All the fabric and supplies are provided. We will be using the Ace Janome sewing machines, so no need to bring your own.
