AI Video in Real Production: Revisions, Consistency & Cost
Wed, Sep 9, 1:30 AMSmall in-person roundtable for creators, agency leaders and creative heads working with AI video. AI video models are getting dramatically better. Generating the first clip is no longer the hardest part. The harder questions start when you try to turn those generations into something you would actually publish, use in a campaign or deliver to a client. **How do you keep characters and products consistent across scenes?** **What happens when one shot needs changing but the rest of the video works?** **How many rerolls does it take before an inexpensive generation becomes an expensive production?** **How do agencies handle client revisions when every new generation can produce something different?** **And what workflows are actually working for people producing AI video regularly?** This is a small, informal roundtable for people dealing with those questions in real creative work. We’ll compare what people are learning about: * Character, product and visual consistency * Revisions and regeneration * Creative control vs. model randomness * Production costs and wasted generations * Story and scene continuity * Client feedback and approval cycles * Combining different AI video models and tools * Moving from an impressive AI clip to a finished, publishable video Who should attend This will be most useful for: * **Creators and filmmakers** already experimenting with AI video * **Agency founders and owners** exploring AI-generated creative for clients * **Creative and production leaders** * **Creative technologists and AI filmmakers** * **Brand-side marketing, growth and creative teams** producing video internally * Small teams where one or two people are effectively running the whole creative-production workflow You don't need to be an AI-video expert. But this is intended for people who are **actually creating, producing or seriously exploring AI video**, rather than a general introduction to generative AI. Format No panels. No long presentations. No AI Video 101. If you’ve burned through $500+ in AI-video credits, rerolled the same scene 20 times, or delivered AI video to an actual audience or client, this discussion is probably for you. And no hour-long product pitch disguised as an educational event. We'll have around **10 people around one table** and use a few practical questions to get the conversation started. The objective is to compare workflows, failures, tools and lessons with other people figuring out the same production problems. Drinks & appetizers **Your first drink and shared appetizers are complimentary.** Additional food and drinks will be available to order individually.

Great Highway Art Walk
Sun, Sep 20, 12:00 AM**RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/DAdjeLspJaG4CzgfM4Kc **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later** Hey indie music fans, Come hang out by the water as the evening breeze kicks up, catching live acoustic sets while we wander past rows of colorful vendor tents. We'll kick things off with an hour of app-guided chats to warm up, then we'll split into small squads to hit the festival and grab some dinner. During the first part of the night, the Gist IRL app sets you up for a series of short one-on-one rounds with other locals who love discovering new sounds. It takes all the awkwardness out of mingling, giving us a super relaxed setting to talk about the best recent gigs and our favorite coastal spots. After the rounds wrap up, you'll pick the people you clicked with the most so you can keep hanging out. We'll group up and head out together to explore the art stalls and grab food truck bites right by the sand. By the end, you're strolling the festival and checking out local art with 4-6 people you just met but already like. Maybe they become your new go-to art walk and festival crew, or maybe it's just a perfectly spent evening by the ocean. The Plan: * 5:00 PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. * 5:05 PM - 6:25 PM: One-on-One Rounds. The app pairs you for focused chats. Find out who shares your favorite local bands, creative taste, and laid-back coastal vibe. * 6:25 PM+: Form Groups & Explore. Reconnect with your favorite matches, form groups of 4-6, and head out in small groups to grab food truck bites and explore the art walk — your group leaves together tonight. The goal tonight isn't swapping Spotify playlist links or favorite band names that no one ever follows up on — it's about actually getting to explore the art walk right now, and finding those friends you'll invite to future art walks, festivals, and weekend coastal strolls to explore together. When the night is over, you can easily keep the conversation going and plan your next concert outing right through the app, without even having to trade phone numbers. I'm so excited to check out the art and hear some great live music with you all. **RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/DAdjeLspJaG4CzgfM4Kc **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later**

Second Sunday: Writing & Weeding
Sun, Sep 13, 7:00 PMJoin us Sundays for Writing & Weeding! Join us for Writing & Weeding! We've all had times when we just can't seem to figure out how to the words out. Sitting with other writers in the garden really helps break writer's block. In our unique garden setting, you can also literally weed out your thoughts by taking some time to pull weeds in a community garden. Getting our hands in the dirt can sometimes inspire creative flow. (Note, we recommend you bring your own gardening gloves.) We are at the gallery and garden at Hayes Valley Art Works - 295 Oak Street at Octavia - writing and pulling some actual weeds! We usually meet at the tables by the gate at Lily / Octavia. In damp weather, we may meet in the gallery in the converted shipping container with the red and black mural 295 Oak Street corner of Octavia. I Please note, we do not have heat in the gallery and run on solar power, so bring your laptop charged and dress appropriately for the weather! Writers are welcome to sit in either south or north garden, or the gallery, both are between Page and Oak on the east side of Octavia. We suggest bringing any devices fully charged as we don't have outlets or a restroom. We recommend stoppping at Mercury Cafe across the street at Page and Octavia - they have a restroom and great food and drinks we recommend stopping in there on your way over for a beverage and use the facilities if needed. If possible, or in bad weather, we will also open our Zoom meeting but this is not always an option due to internet access at the garden. Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84912436792?pwd=R0FOq4fHuBXaaz0zdoTVbiiSbCUtY8.1 Meeting ID: 849 1243 6792 Passcode: 94102 Theme is open. Poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction. Bring your own project to work on, or use the suggested themes and writing prompts announced at each meeting. Writers are free to share from their writing or not, as they wish. Introductions at 12:00. 12:05-12:45 writing/weeding time 12:45-1:00 discussion, weeding time, share writing if inspired share how the session went, stay on if you wish to discuss, share, or continue writing or help pull weeds!
