Interactive Truffle Dinner (Bringing the Truffle Farm to the Restaurant)

Interactive Truffle Dinner (Bringing the Truffle Farm to the Restaurant)

Thu, Jul 16, 8:00 AM
From Melbourne Business and Entertainment Co-Building Group

## [Australian Truffle Club](https://app.australiantruffleclub.com.au/) presents ## Truffles, Wine & AI Conversation A Thursday evening dinner built around fresh Australian truffles, matched wine moments and premium conversation. This is a more elevated seated dinner experience with only **10 seats available**. Guests will enjoy a 4-course truffle dinner, wine tasting moments, guest speakers, hands-on truffle comparison, chef-led tasting moments and relaxed conversation between courses. This dinner is designed to feel social, premium and useful — not like a long presentation. Each speaker adds something different between dishes, giving guests a deeper appreciation of truffle, flavour, hospitality and the wider Australian truffle ecosystem. He will share how simple Asian flavour cues can work beautifully with premium truffle and how truffle can sit naturally within modern Asian dining culture. ### John Mu **Master Chef, Prohibition** John guides the menu experience for the night and demonstrates how the right truffle application can completely lift a dish. Guests will taste one course before truffle is added, then again after, to experience the difference in real time. ### Alex Jiang **Club CEO** Alex sets the wider context for the evening, linking the dinner to the bigger Australian truffle ecosystem and the market opportunity for premium Australian truffle locally and internationally. *** ## Activities on the Night ### The Great and the Good Guests will compare two truffles, pass them around the table and rate what feels truly great versus simply good. ### Chef John Mu’s Elevate-a-Meal Moment Guests will taste one course before the truffle is shaved, then taste it again after, to experience how truffle changes aroma, flavour and memory. ### Jimmy Zhu’s Asian Ingredient Pairing A simple Asian ingredient will be brought into a small appetiser so guests can taste how it comes together with truffle. *** ## Talk Flow The evening begins with a short welcome before the first course to set the tone. Each of the four speakers will then share a simple, focused talk between dishes. The night will move naturally between tasting, conversation, education and premium food storytelling. The format is designed to be lively and easy to follow — good food, clear truffle education, and just enough conversation between courses to make the dinner memorable. *** ## Ticket **Dinner ticket: $129 per person** Includes the 4-course truffle dinner experience, matched wine moments, speaker sessions and interactive truffle activities. Only **10 seats** are available. *** ## Who This Dinner Is For This dinner is ideal for: * Food lovers * Wine lovers * Truffle enthusiasts * Chefs and hospitality professionals * Business owners * Premium dining guests * People interested in Australian truffle and food culture * Anyone looking for a unique Thursday evening dining experience *** ## Why Attend This is not just a dinner. It is a chance to taste, compare, learn and connect. Guests will walk away with a better understanding of how truffle works, how to recognise quality, how chefs use it, and why Australian truffle has a strong premium story. Expect a warm, intimate and premium evening built around truffle, wine, conversation and great food. *** ## Limited Seats This is a small seated dinner with only **10 seats available**. I have Dixit, Scrabble, Cluedo, Guess Who, Settlers of Catan, cards, Tick to Ride, Trivial Pursuit, Mysterium and Carcassonne. Please feel free to bring some boardgames along if you have some you'd like to play. The library at Cheltenham also has some games. There is food nearby if you want to eat before or after. Cheltenham is very receptive to us using their space (I have spoken to them). Chelsea is a little hesitant as they say they may not have enough chairs. Close to Cheltenham Station.
