Come to Gravesend Bay and enjoy the afternoon learning the basics of fishing in saltwater. You will learn how to tie hooks, cast your fishing rod and reel in a fish. Bring your own fishing rod or you guys may share the 2 fishing rods I have. Please note: All Anglers fishing in saltwater must enroll in the (free) Recreational Marine Fishing Registry. You can enroll in the marine registry at www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6101.html,or call 1-866-933-2257. We will meet in front of Wheel Fun Rentals (opposite Wendy's) located at Bensonhurst Park intersection of Bay Parkway & Shore Parkway, Brooklyn. Then we will walk to the water front located west of Wheel Fun Rentals.

Canoe the Delaware Water Gap

All you have to do is show up!** Leaving from the Newburgh Waterfront this 2.5 – 3.5 hour tour will head east across the Hudson River to Denning’s Point just south of the City of Beacon. Our paddle will turn south as we paddle around the south end and make our way up into Fishkill Creek . This is the Hudson River “back country”, a calm peaceful stretch of water full of birds including bald eagles. Our paddle continues up to a beautiful waterfalls where we will take sometime just to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Bring plenty of drinking water along with snacks and “cold beverages” to enjoy in this unique location. Although we schedule this trip when the tides are in our favor, paddling back can sometimes be difficult for first time kayakers or those not in regular shape for activity. We will, of course, have our guides and river guides helping us out! Join us for this beautiful trip! **FYI, this trip was originally scheduled for Sunday, 9/20, but due to scheduling conflicts, we’re moving it to Saturday, 9/19.** **If you originally RSVP’d for Sunday and can make it on Saturday, your RSVP will automatically transfer and your spot is guaranteed.** **The trip was already full, so if anyone who had previously RSVP’d can’t make the new date, those spots will be offered to new RSVPs.** We’re heading up to the Hudson Valley for a day that combines art, nature, scenic views, and one of the coolest small towns outside NYC. First we’ll spend a few hours at Storm King Art Center, a massive 500-acre outdoor sculpture park where huge modern art installations are spread across rolling hills, fields, forests, and walking paths. It’s one of those places that feels completely different from the city, peaceful, open, and surprisingly immersive. You’ll wander through giant sculptures rising out of the landscape, hidden art tucked into the trees, and wide scenic views of the Hudson Valley. It’s part museum, part nature escape, and part photography paradise. After Storm King, we’ll head over to Beacon, one of the Hudson Valley’s most vibrant small towns. Beacon has a great energy, artsy without trying too hard, with a walkable Main Street full of cafés, bookstores, breweries, vintage shops, galleries, and restaurants. Acadia Hiking And Coastal Maine Adventure

### Exploration, Exhilaration, And Eleanor! Get ready for non-stop whiffs of sweet pine as you hike the startingly beautiful coastlines of Maine and Acadia National Park. This 7-day women’s trip takes you far away from a world where everyone needs you… and it includes a sneaky visit into Canada. It all starts in Portland, Maine where we rendezvous, exchange bff necklaces, and hop in the SHE-nanigan Shuttle to our first hike… which is THE best hike. We’ll scale the famous iron rungs of The Beehive, peer into the crystal-clear waters of Bowl Pond, and gape at stunning shoreline cliffs as we explore Gorham Mountain and Sand Beach. Next we’ll scramble the summits of The Bubbles, eat our body weight in seafood in Bar Harbor, and spend an entire day exploring Acadia via sea kayak. Bald eagles, porpoises, otters, and seals send their love and may even pose for a photo thanks to the glorious nature freaks leading our aqua-safari. We’ll tiptoe into the quietside of Acadia, where crowds never reach. And you’ll get your unmissable photo of Somesville Bridge, dammit! Adirondack Fall Foliage - Car Camping [Spots Available]

**Fall in the Adirondacks is always spectacular!** Come join us for a weekend of camping and hiking in the southern Adirondacks, which has better foliage and far fewer crowds than the High Peaks. A couple of important notes: 1. **Weekend trips are open to regular members in good standing. Message Andre if you're interested.** 2. Hikes are member-organized. Everyone is expected to be able to read a map, follow a trail, and choose hikes within their fitness and ability. Depending on the attendees, we might split into two or more hikes. Do not count on someone more experienced or skilled than yourself to lead you. Hikes in the area are typically 5 miles and up, suitable for intermediate and advanced hikers. I've found that doing a couple of short hikes in different areas maximizes the foliage viewing. There are several great lookout towers in the area that provide 360-degree views, and the high peaks are always an option if you want something longer. **Logistics:** * **Camping Location:** Car-camping at the [Harris Lake Campground](https://maps.app.goo.gl/7VbkKSVS5mndJpYX8) with showers, toilets, BBQs, picnic tables, and canoe rentals. Max two tents and two cars per campsite. * **Food:** BYO food and snacks. There is very little nearby in terms of stores, so bring all your food for the weekend. Mountain House dehydrated meals are a fine option. * **Cost:** $25 per person for two nights of camping, paid to Andre * **General Rules**: We are a low alcohol group. No RVs, generators, camper vans, etc. No dogs allowed. **Schedule:** * **Friday:** Leave as early in the afternoon as you can. It is 5-6 hours to the campground from NYC. Please try to arrive by 10 pm out of courtesy to other campers. * **Saturday:** We'll rise early for our various hikes, BYO dinner at the campsite around a campfire. * **Sunday:** Generally a short hike before hitting the road in the afternoon. \*\*\* **Camping Gear:** * Tent, or space in someone's tent * Sleeping pad and sleeping bag suitable for the low 30s at night * Stove, pots, and pan (check about sharing) * Personal plate/spoon/cup, etc; toiletries, towel, and flip-flops for the shower; swimsuit (for the brave). **Hiking Gear:** * Standard day hiking gear: Waterproof boots suggested (trail shoes are not recommended in the ADKs), non-cotton clothing, sunscreen, bug spray, sunhat, sunglasses, rain gear, hiking poles, snacks, etc. * Winter hat, gloves, and jacket, plus insulating layers to account for unpredictable fall mountain weather.
