Outstanding performances from 10 world-renowned and local artists on 2 stages, award winning barbecue for sale by NYC’s top pit-masters, a marketplace, and of course, a dance floor right on the Hudson River with free lessons by Blues Dance New York. #### **The Sound of Summer** The Main Stage will be rocking all day with a world-class lineup spanning generations and styles of blues. On the Second Stage, presented by the Jazz Foundation of America, you’ll find a more intimate vibe with incredible local talent. Come see why Hudson River Blues BBQ has been one of NYC’s favorite festivals for 26 years and counting. #### **Come Hungry** Returning favorites like Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Bark BBQ, Dickson’s, Kimchi Smoke, Jase’s BBQ, and Tikkun BBQ will be selling signature plates. This is a very popular event, so come early for the best selection. Please no outside alcohol. This course covers plenty of vocabulary and it focuses on the learning and practice of descriptive terms that will take your Spanish speaking to the next level. Lab Night - Musician's Collective

[NOTE - You may join any session, whatever day they take place - there is no formal grouping. If it's your first time, please reach out via DM here to confirm, and share what instrument, etc.] Open to acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, keyboards and vocalists. In this guided jam, we will play a large variety of songs from beginner to intermediate level at a location in Manhattan, midtown west neighborhood (near Port Authority). You can usually borrow an instrument, please confirm availability ahead. Rather than music lessons (and those are also available), what we supply is a playground for "talented amateurs" from beginner to intermediate level a chance to play with other people. We don't require a week-in, week-out commitment, but sign-up is first-come, first-served. We play most popular music styles (pop, rock, country, jazz, soul, folk, etc) and we'll try just about anything. As a group, we will work on specific songs we're focusing on, as well as try new things off the cuff. Bring in whatever you want! We will build week over week on certain songs. The leader is happy to share material to help participants advance their abilities. The location is at 43rd St & 9th Av, Manhattan, at 400 W. 43rd St, Apt 8S. 6:30-8:30 pm. $20 for an hour, and $30 for the whole night. Intro rate if you're a first timer: $5 off (so $15 or $25). Free Outrigger Canoe Paddling at Hudson River Park's Pier 96

Experience a free introduction to outrigger canoe paddling at Hudson River Park’s Pier 96 with New York Outrigger. We are a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization hosting free events for the public for over 25 years. WHO CAN ATTEND? This free outrigger activity is appropriate for age 14 and up and is available on a first-come first-served basis. Every participant should register individually on this Meetup event. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE I COME? RSVP for this event date and agree to complete waivers upon arrival. WHAT DO I WEAR? WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? We recommend you wear sunscreen and bring water to stay hydrated. You are free to wear whatever you want, but assume anything you bring on the water will get soaked and/or lost. You may want to consider bringing something dry you can change into afterwards. **All our guests are required to wear a PFD (Personal Flotation Device),** **provided by New York Outrigger, when on the dock and on the water.** WHERE DO I PUT MY STUFF? We have lockers where you may place your belongings during the session. We also have a small changing area. There is no public access inside our space at Pier 96 and you will be asked to remain outside on the dock during your visit. We do not have bathrooms, but there are public porta potties as well as new bathrooms next-door at Pier 97. WHAT WILL WE BE DOING? The novice session will involve a 20 minute land training introduction on the dock to familiarize you with the technique, commands and safety protocol of the canoe. This is then followed by a 20 minute session on the water. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME (or even a few minutes early!) to participate in the required land training before you are able to paddle on the water. Latecomers arriving more than 10 minutes past the start time may not be able to participate and may be asked to sign up for a future date. WHAT IF IT’S RAINING? We paddle rain or shine except for lightning. We only cancel our Novice sessions if we deem the wind and water conditions to be unsafe for our guests. If we have to cancel, we do our best to make that call at least an hour before the event start time. Up the Hudson to BBQ Blues Festival @ Pier 76

**WHAT** Join us for a 5-mile, moderate-paced walk up the Hudson River to Hudson River Park's annual BBQ Blues Festival @ Pier 76. Entry to the festival's live music is free. Food (*including vegan BBQ*) and beverages will be available for purchase. **MEET** 11:00 am in front of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. There are restrooms inside the terminal on the 2nd floor. If you're late, message a leader and meet the group at either Pier 57 or Pier 76. If you can't make the walk, you can still come to Pier 76 as your schedule allows and enjoy the music and BBQ. We'll walk up the Hudson River, stopping at the Pier 57 rooftop park (14th St) for views and restrooms. One leader will remain with those who wish to take a break at Pier 57, where food and drinks are available for purchase. The other leader will continue to Pier 76 with those who wish to proceed directly to the festival. At Pier 76 (36th St), enjoy free entry to the annual [Hudson River Park BBQ Blues Festival](https://hudsonriverpark.org/visit/events/event/blues-bbq-festival-2026/). *List of performers and food vendors visible via link.* Live music starts at 1:15 pm on the Second Stage, and at 2:00 pm on the Main Stage. The music continues until 9 pm, featuring a lineup of five bands on the main stage. Stay as long as you wish. **BRING** a hat, sunscreen, water, snacks. Both stages have chairs (first come, first served) or bring a towel/blanket/camp chair to sit on. Numerous clean, well-maintained porta-potties will be available on the pier. Water bottles can be refilled for free. Backpacks/bags will be screened by security. Glass containers and outside alcohol are prohibited. ***This is an all-weather event***. Walk will be cancelled only if Hudson River Park cancels the event. In the case of high heat/humidity, consider whether it's safe for you to attend.
