**Ride**: Let's ride from town (**College of Surgeons Gardens**) via Royal Park to **Niddrie** for lunch/brunch in Keilor Rd We did a similar ride for afternoon coffee in mid-2024 but this time we'll return another way to town on **Steele Creek path** and the **Maribyrnong River Trail** to finish at Jeff's Shed (Melbourne Exhibition Centre) in South Wharf by mid afternoon. (Finish time is always an estimate) **Forecast**: Niddrie - Partly cloudy, 17°C, 10% chance of showers (0-1mm for the day). SUBJECT TO MELBOURNE'S CAPRICIOUS WINTER WEATHER \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Loop from East Malvern Station to Jells Park and Blackburn via Scotchman Creek, Dandenong Creek and Gardiners Creek Trails. In this direction, we avoid the massive climb from Jells Park and not having lunch at T-House. Meet at East Malvern Station Car Park at 10am. Coffee stop at T-House in Jells Park, late lunch stop at Gourmet Girl or Joy Parade at Laburnum. BYO lunch is an option, there is seating within view of the venues. There is the option for a bit of single track at Shepherd's Bush but requires descending a short set of stairs. For those not wishing to do single track, use the main trail and we will meet at High Street Road. We’ll start Rushall, Capital City Trail then south down Swanston Street/ Walk to St. Kilda Junction underpass. The Western Trail on the far side of Albert Park then South Melbourne Market. Yummy stuff at the Market then the Cecil Street trail and a bit of footpath to the Yarra trail at Jeffs Shed. Docklands, green bridge, Capital City trail to Canning Street then The Standard hotel Fitzroy. In the above photograph you can see my nephew Joshua having lunch at the Standard. We will meet at Caulfield Railway Station , outside Platform 4 Then ride to Moon Palace Preston, considered the one of the best homemade Dim Sims in Melbourne. After lunch it's a short ride to Regent Railway Station. There is another traditional Chinese Restaurant that we will try on another ride to compare, how exciting !
