Indoor Draw & Sketch Hangout - MaRS Discovery District

Hi everyone! We're doing an afternoon sketching hangout at the MaRS Building food court tables- Enter MaRS from Collage Street where the statue of two men are sitting by the glass doors. Turn left and head down the escalator. Slow Drawing Workshop

Location: at a local cafe （TBC）. What will be experience: relax, doodle, and create beautiful patterns arts with lines drawing. Requirement: no drawing or art experience needed! welcome for all skill levels. Materials: included for drawing and coloring. Small Group: limited up to 4 participants. Join us for a beginner-friendly 2-hour session where you'll learn simple tangle patterns and complete your own piece to take home.

Watercolour Painting Meetup

Join us for a relaxed and creative watercolour meetup at a local cafe. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter, all skill levels are welcome. Each session will begin with brief introductions, followed by a short overview of watercolour techniques and optional theme ideas to spark inspiration. From there, you’re free to settle in and paint—either alongside the group or in your own corner of the cafe, depending on seating. We’ll wrap up the meetup by coming back together for a casual show-and-tell, where anyone who’d like can share their work. The meetup is free or pay-what-you-like if you bring your own supplies. If you need materials, $5 cash will cover basic watercolour supplies. Please also purchase something from the cafe. To keep things chill, each meetup is limited to 10 attendees. Calling all AI haters in Toronto! The Luddite Society of Toronto is launching its "AI sucks" campaign, and is issuing an open invitation to anyone who would like to get involved and help fight big tech's AI agenda. Whether you are worried about data centres being built in your neighborhood, art and artists being replaced by AI, or how AI is destroying our ability to think, people who are against AI need to be working together. The purpose of this meeting is to strategize for the launch of our poster and billboard campaign, as well as to bring anti AI activists from different backgrounds together. Location TBD based on the number of RSVPs we get.
