Awakening Inner Freedom: An Intuitive Art, and Meditation Masterclass

**Join us for a sacred three-hour immersion to explore the deep intersection of inner peace, meditation, and creative expression.** *In the words of Paramhansa Yogananda, “Creativity is the reflection of the divine craftsman within you.”* This workshop is a warm invitation to our creative family – bringing together our dedicated students, fellow artists, and dear friends. Whether you are a long time creator or simply seeking a space to explore, we gather as a supportive community of peers. Together, we will quiet the analytic mind, open our hearts and anchor our unique creative practices in joy, allowing our inner light to flow freely onto the paper. The design of this 3-hour creative event is based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and specifically from Art as a Hidden Message by Swami Kriyananda. **Meet Your Guides:** \* Anne Scheid: a professional artist and former Fine Arts professor in drawing, who taught at Fresno City College for 24 years. Anne holds an MFA from the University of Cincinnati. She now dedicates her energy to creating and exhibiting, teaching Ananda Meditation, and co-leading the Ananda Fresno Meditation Group. She brings decades of artistic practice integrated with a daily meditation practice. “Intuition and inner stillness have been my true creative guides.” Website: annescheid.com \* Sansanee Boonyad: Your local LA host, fine artist, educator, and Ananda Certified Yoga Teacher. She holds an MFA in Painting from Laguna College of Art and Design and teaches painting at Saddleback College Emeritus Institute. Her creative work and teaching are inspired by her spiritual practice and her interest in bringing creativity and inner awareness into everyday life. Website: SansaneeBoonyad.com Together, Anne and Sansanee will hold a supportive, harmonious space to help you transcend technique and tap into your own source of intuitive, wisdom, antd joy. **In this 3-hour workshop, we will share hands-on projects that ask, not skill, but a personal sense of adventure, a willingness to explore and try new things and an attitude of openness. Inspiration and how to locate yours will be our search.**

AI, Art & Vibecoding - StrangeNew.World @ 310 Coffee

We frame ourselves as **"a support group for the technological singularity"** and we are an eclectic mix of open-minded thinkers, artists, and tinkerers who believe in embracing the emerging technologies and capabilities in the most humanitarian way possible. Our meetings have a super casual and open atmosphere where all are welcome to contribute. Feel free to come late or leave early. So whether you're an AI enthusiast or skeptic, a creative professional already using AI on the daily, or someone just starting their first vibe coding project, this group may be for you! **NOW NEW & IMPROVED** We are doing "Hack-a-salons" after every meeting (starting at 5pm) now that 310 Coffee is staying open later. So please bring your laptops or art projects, or works in progress that you have questions on or want to present to the group. No podiums... only passion projects, good people and great vibes! ☺️ **What to Expect** Interesting conversations, relevant content, and educational resources. We are a diverse community of people who want to help each other and the world around us. We meet in person once a week at **310 Coffee in Culver City from 3-5pm**, we share our work and interesting news in our Whatsapp group, put on remote Learning Labs, go to events together, and encourage our members (who have the availability) to participate in a learning collective where we can volunteer to give each other one-on-one crash courses in various artistic, technical, and entrepreneurial disciplines. Here is a list of what we can teach: [https://strangenew.world/labs/what-we-know](https://strangenew.world/labs/what-we-know) We also encourage each of our members to take on a Passion Project, which could be as simple as getting up and running with a new artistic medium or project, or as complex as laying the groundwork for your dream business or career. We believe there has never been a better time (at least in OUR lifetimes) to set your sights on what your ideal life would be two years from now and then just start moving toward it. And maybe we can help you do that by giving you the hand-holding you need to get over that first hump, which can sometimes be the most difficult part. **How to Give Back** If you are a member looking to give back, or if you like what our organization is doing, then please follow, subscribe, rate us, and smash that like! 🤣 I know it seems silly to many of you, but in the attention economy, just the act of following us, liking our posts, and reviewing our events can make a huge difference in how the algorithm shines upon us. Also, if you would like to support us in a more direct way, please consider giving us a one-time donation, subscribing to one of our tiers, or sponsoring us. We pay for a lot of stuff out of pocket, so please consider becoming a patron to support the overall longevity of our group and vision. [https://strangenew.world/support-us](https://strangenew.world/support-us) **More Information** What we explore during our meetings really depends on who shows up and what they want to discuss: * The changing job market. What skills will matter in 10 years * The future of business and the creative industries * Chatbots, LLMs, and Agentic Workflows * Using AI for scientific or artistic exploration * Will generative art destroy Hollywood or save it? * What is consciousness? What constitutes intelligence? * The various types/platforms of vibecoding and which is best for your project * The end of capitalism as we know it * Are we entering the 2nd Cognitive Revolution? **Learn more at: [https://strangenew.world](https://strangenew.world)**

This class is essential for you. Speed up the learning process, “cut to the chase” and enroll in our new Sight Size measuring for the figurative artist and become a “Classical Illusionist” Painting the cast using Sight-Size develops the ability to see shapes and proportions accurately, by continuously comparing the drawn shapes with the cast. This class will develop the accuracy of drawing skills, the ability to correctly judge and paint values, and finesse transitional tones and edges to give the painting the illusion of three-dimensions. The three main objectives of this class: 1\. Drawing \- draw the shapes of the cast in correct proportion\, beginning with the big shapes then the smaller shapes\. 2\. Values\- Learn to correctly judge values by using 5\-7 tone scale which we will mix on the palette\. We will begin by first establishing the three major value relationships: the light shape\, the shadow shape and the background\. 3\. The Illusion of three\-dimensions: Finally we paint the transitional halftones and soften the edges of the form\. This step gives the painting three\-dimensional qualities\, and the form will take the 3D qualities of an object sitting in a space\. These are essential skills to have in your tool box as you move forward to painting portraits, still life, illustrations, etc. **What You'll Learn** Draw the shapes of the cast in correct proportion, beginning with the big shapes down to the small shapes. Learn to correctly judge values by using 5-7 tone scale. Learn to describe how light travels across the form (your cast) Turn and soften the edges of the form. Paint the cast to look like a three dimensional object on the canvas. Learn essential skills to have in your tool box as you move forward to painting portraits, still life, illustrations, etc. Live demonstrations and personalized one-on-one instruction
