Join **Berkeley Saree Club** for a hands-on introduction to the saree and the art of draping. We'll begin with a short introduction to sarees, followed by live draping demonstrations. Then it’s your turn! Participants will have time to practice draping with guidance from our volunteers. **What to expect** * A short introduction to sarees and draping * Live draping demonstrations * Hands-on practice for beginners * Tips and techniques for more experienced saree wearers **What to bring** * If you have a saree you'd like to practice with, please bring it along. * Please **wear or bring a saree petticoat (underskirt)** if you'd like to participate in the hands-on draping session. A fitted, full-length skirt that you can comfortably tuck fabric into can also work. * We will also have a limited number of sarees available for participants to use during the workshop. **No previous saree-draping experience is needed.** This is a **free community workshop**, but space is limited. Please register only if you plan to attend. All are welcome — come discover the possibilities of six yards of unstitched fabric.

**RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/y1HmJXrDbN2hDTj4DfWy **Early Bird Discounts | More $ Later** WOW!! We had a huge turnout last time. So here we go for our sequel ;) Picture this: you walk up to the Emporium on a Monday night for their famous "Industry Night," and see some new faces, some old. Then, you spend an hour in quick one-on-one rounds, meet incredible new people, then you play games with your new friends at the Emporium and if you're wanting to afterwards, we're right next to Madrone's, so we can all go dancing together! Wow what a fun night! So, get ready for an hour of real one-on-one conversations with fellow industry professionals, paired up by the app so you always know exactly who you are talking to next. Then comes the fun part: you walk into the arcade bar and then head over to Madrones for Monday night dancing together. It all happens the same evening, with one shared plan, and everyone going together. By the time the music starts, you've already got a squad to hit the dance floor with. Maybe this becomes your weekly Monday night dancing crew. Maybe it's just a great evening you'll remember. Either way, you're rolling with a crew. Agenda 7:30PM - Check-In Follow the link to complete a quick profile setup on your phone. 7:35PM - 8:55PM - One-on-One Rounds Our app pairs you for focused conversations. Discover who shares your industry experience and your favorite dance moves. 8:55PM+ - Form Groups & go into the Emporium and then head over to Madrones to go dancing together Your new friend group leaves together - tonight. The Goal Don't just collect contacts. Actually go dancing with new people and see if this becomes your regular crew for new dancing spots to explore together. Want to stay in touch with someone?
