Acadia Hiking And Coastal Maine Adventure

### Exploration, Exhilaration, And Eleanor! Get ready for non-stop whiffs of sweet pine as you hike the startingly beautiful coastlines of Maine and Acadia National Park. This 7-day women’s trip takes you far away from a world where everyone needs you… and it includes a sneaky visit into Canada. It all starts in Portland, Maine where we rendezvous, exchange bff necklaces, and hop in the SHE-nanigan Shuttle to our first hike… which is THE best hike. We’ll scale the famous iron rungs of The Beehive, peer into the crystal-clear waters of Bowl Pond, and gape at stunning shoreline cliffs as we explore Gorham Mountain and Sand Beach. Next we’ll scramble the summits of The Bubbles, eat our body weight in seafood in Bar Harbor, and spend an entire day exploring Acadia via sea kayak. Bald eagles, porpoises, otters, and seals send their love and may even pose for a photo thanks to the glorious nature freaks leading our aqua-safari. We’ll tiptoe into the quietside of Acadia, where crowds never reach. And you’ll get your unmissable photo of Somesville Bridge, dammit! At the end of each day, you’ll rest your gorgeous head at our epic Glampsite. Enjoy real beds, ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, good coffee, and the best laughs of your life. Backpacking @Castle Rock Trail Camp - 2-Night Trip

This is a relaxed two-night backpacking trip at Castle Rock State Park, ideal for beginner backpackers or anyone looking for a low-mileage weekend outdoors. We'll hike about 2.6 miles from the main parking area to Castle Rock Trail Camp via the Saratoga Gap Trail. The route is short, but expect normal backpacking conditions, including uneven and rocky sections while carrying your own gear. Once at camp, we'll have plenty of time to settle in, relax, and explore the nearby trails, sandstone formations, forest, and ridge views. The trail camp has picnic tables, vault toilets, trash receptacles. **Please carry all the water you'll need. The water source at the camp is not functional.** Please respond to all questions when you RSVP. This will be a small group, and your spot is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation from me. Please be specific if you can only attend with a carpool. **Dates:** Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20 **Trail:** \~5.2 miles minimum round trip, with optional exploring from camp **Plan:** Two nights at Castle Rock Trail Camp, relaxed pace, nearby hiking, and camp time **Difficulty:** Easy/Moderate backpacking, but you must be able to carry your own overnight gear over uneven trail. Especially water for couple of days. **Group size:** Small group; park limit is 6 people per campsite **Parking:** One overnight vehicle is included. We'll coordinate carpools because extra vehicles cost $10 per night. Overnight parking is only in the designated trail-camp lot, with check-in at the Robert C. Kirkwood entrance **Trip Cost:** 10$ per person for the whole trip **Trip confirmation:** Your participation is confirmed after you have answered the pre-req questions, made the payment, and received a confirmation from me You'll need your own backpacking gear, food, water, and the 10 essentials. Roaming Lake Merced and the Dunes

This is a route we did about eighteen months ago, and I wanted to try it again. We start off in the Lakeshore district, close to the zoo, pass across Lake Merced, and tackle the dunes between Fort Funston and Great Highway. This roam is pretty flat, but we will have a fair amount of sand and dirt to traverse. *Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.* *These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.* *Punctuality is always appreciated, for the sake of everybody's time. Please send a message on the app before the start if you are running late, and we will either wait (up to ten minutes) of I will direct you on how to catch up. Once we get underway I have to focus on those who are there, and most likely won't respond.* *Generally half the people who sign up don't actually show up on the day. I do track flakiness and remove people who have a poor attendance record.
